<body>Paging Zack Duke, you have been traded to the Red Sox for a free Direct TV HD upgrade(with DVR) and 3 free months of HBO and Skinemax. Please clean out your locker and succeed with another team. Thanks for putting up with our organization.</body>

<body>Pirates are offering the remainder of their starters for Cecil Fielder's pension money, a copy of Jose Canseco's book, and Mark McGwire's left monsterous calf. Hey, the Phillies just gave us the Fanatic for a future 1st Round pick, because we need more entertainment to distract form the actual game being played. Hot DOgs will be 50 cents and beers will be 25 cents, just to get fans in the seats and get them drunk enough to where they shout &amp;quot;Nice error in center McClouth&amp;quot; only later realizing we traded him 2 months ago.</body>

<body>ah, that's the catch. Are the Pirates finally and really re-loading for a run, or just loading up long enough for the players to turn good and get sold off themselves in a few years? Past history would tell any Pittsburgh fan not to get their hopes up, but time will tell.</body>

<body>This could be a first. Also, the deal is done, and sure enough, the Cubs gave up way too much to get them (today's winning pitcher, Kevin Hart, and top prospect-turned-ruined pitcher, saved just in the knick of time by the Pirates, Jose Ascanio, plus a minor leaguer).

I think the Pirates may be able to run a train on the NL Central in two or three years if they don't trade away all their guys again.</body>

<body>just curious though, has a team EVER traded their entire starting lineup from opening day by mid season? I think only Doumit is left, and since he's doing all right since coming back, he's available!</body>

<body>I'm about ready to ask for a tryout. 48 year old rookie with a rebuilt left shoulder, can still hit maybe 60 on the radar gun if the winds are blowing in. Can't bend for groundballs and won't back up home plate, couldn't hit a beach ball if they were lobbing it up to the plate for me, but hey, i'll work cheap. Might get a shot and last long enough to get traded to the Yankees.</body>
