<body>it's still very much there, but not as intense since the Sox have won a couple.. but since the Soxs are spending right up there with the Yanks we can at least kick to the curb the argument that the Yanks buy championships. The Sxo are right there folks...</body>

<body>I disagree with Larry B on the point that Rays/Sox should be considered a rivalry. One good year by a relatively new team certainly does not make them worthy of rivalry-status with a team that has always been so premier. Sox/Yanks will always be a rivalry - lots of history, lots of years of stealing each other players, only a drive away geographically - regardless of whether or not a team has a bad year or run of years.</body>

<body>&lt;p&gt;Is it really a rivalry when one team consistently gets the best of another? Before the Red Sox came back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Yankees in the 2004 ALCS, New York had won 26 World Series title to Boston's zero since 1918. What is your take on the status of the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry now?&lt;/p&gt;</body>
