Writer:  Joe Lemire
Game:  UNLV vs. Kent State
Post time:  3:35 PM, Thursday

The Midwesterners can get sarcastic too. In the midst of UNLV’s success running Kent State off the floor, to the tune of a 29-8 lead with 3:12 to play, the Golden Flashes went 7 minutes, 44 seconds between baskets, during which time the Running Rebels racked up a 14-0 run. So, as Kent State’s Chris Singletary made a nice spin move and scored a layup, the Qwest Center crowd reacted with the day’s loudest cheer. No small feat considering it's a heavily pro-Kansas crowd, which saw a Jayhawks rout this morning.

Joe Lemire is a legend. His beard alone could make the Sweet 16.

Lemire's beard may be the greatest of all time, but his poker skills are seriously lacking. Maybe he'll be better at this blogging thing.
