The heavily-guarded Wonderlic test scores from the NFL Scouting Combine have started to leak out. From the Twitter page of Palm Beach Post writer Edgar Thompson:
Gators QB Tim Tebow scored a 22 on his Wonderlic, Jimmy Clausen 23, Colt McCoy 25 and Sam Bradford 36 out of 50, per NFL source.
The Wonderlic, a timed, 50-question exercise, tests the aptitude of draft prospects. The official results of the tests are distributed by the NFL to the 32 teams after the combine, with scores occasionally leaking out. Other noteworthy QB scores that have been reported in the past: Ryan Fitzpatrick (Harvard) 49, QB Matthew Stafford (Georgia) 38, QB Mark Sanchez (28), Michael Vick (20) and Vince Young (15, after getting a 6 on first attempt).

haha, so much for all of those "intangibles", lets see how the national media will spin this in Tebow's favor now..

22 isn't that far below the NFL QB average.

It's a timed test, Tebow kept slowing down to ask "What would Jesus say?"

Sorry, ole' vince scored a 6. that is a 1,2,3,4,5,..SIX on it. He had to take it over and got a 15, still sooooo bad.
Tbow will be a 2nd or less round pick, marginal player, out in under 5 years.
I'd rather have Grossman.

The Wonderlic doesn't mean crap. Plenty of stars have scored low (Dan Marino scored a 15) while scrubs like Ryan Fitzpatrick have aced it. If Tebow would have scored a 6, that would have been news... This is not newsworthy!

What the media failed to mention was that Tebow was performing a circumcision while taking the test.

I agree! I know why they use these tests but I don't think they prove much if anything. Either you are a good football player or you are not, Tebow has shown he can and will win. There is no test that can compare to reading a Defense or evading a linebacker.

Now that's where you are wrong. Don't you realize that EVERYTHING that The Tebow does is newsworthy? I won't be surprised when they start reporting the mass of his last scat.

I don't think they play the games on paper...............and Vince did pretty well this past season once he was given that opportunity. Tebow is not and will not be a great QB in my opinion, but he will make some NFL team better with his abilities and passion for the game.

22 is NOT a bad score; however 6 is a bad score and 15 is just okay.

That's what I love about you 14 year olds. You think it actually means something. Ryan Fitzpatrick must be the best NFL QB ever.
Oh, and since you like to think it means something, isn't it interesting how Jimmy Clausen of Notre Dame (you know, the school that can't compete with the football factories in the south and midwest because they actually have "academic standards") only scored 1 point higher than that SEC Qb, scored lower than that dumb ole Texan QB, scored MUCH lower than the red neck Oklahoman.
Heck, he scored lower than Sanchez. How is that possible ? If the Wonderlic is directly related to how one has/can/will perform, how is it possible that the dumb QB from the football factory in LA was able to outperform the qb from the school with academic standards ?

Clearly this matters very little, if at all. Vince Young scored a six and played well last year. Ryan Fitzpatrick. Who? The test is one of a million ways teams try to test a player and learn more about them. It's not the final decision on how good a quarterback is. Tebow has a lot more to worry about than some test.

22/50...that's 44% and some think that is not a bad score. WTF? Get real...Tebow's a meat head. I guess he will be riding the short bus to training camp.

Peyton Manning scored 28.
Clearly Eli has been the better QB.

There's way too much emphasis put on this stupid test. I mean look at those names at the top who were cited as doing well. How'd Ryan Fitzpatrick turn out? How about Matt Leinert (35), Craig Krenzel (38)? How about David Garrard who scored a 14? All debate aside he's been much better and more productive than any of these other QB's. The test is a bunch of crap. Period.
