I've lived everywhere in this fine nation...north, south, east and west. KCMO is home for me...and I love it here. It doesn't matter where you live...it's what you make of your situation wherever you may be. But if you don't like it here in Missouri, all you have to do is pack your bags and leave. Maybe you can catch a bus with LJ... Cheifs nation will rise again!

K.C. is boring!Trust me ive been stuck here for 35 years.Weather sucks, nothing to do,sports teams, soaring crime rate(Google:Murder factory,64130),laughingstock mayor, empty Sprint Center, worst highways in the nation..etc. We are though getting a shiny new/old football stadium and the best G.M. in the league and a baseball owner whose finally willing to dig deep into his fat billionare pockets and spend 80mil. on payroll. And KU won a nat.champ. again.Sports are the only thing thats on the upswing around here.

Hey Rinkrunt!! I grew up in Denver, spent 4 years as a young adult outside Aspen Colorado, 7 years in Salt Lake City, had skiing (downhill, cross country, water), ice skating (and not on a sissy rink going around in circles, on real lakes with frozen water) boating, fishing, hiking, and hunting, all right at my front door wherever I lived, and moved to Phoenix in 1987. Guess what Rinkrunt? Still here and loving it. Of course I still have my Broncos tickets and go back to Denver about 10 times a year because of family and football, but as far as living??! No better place than the Valley of the Sun.

Not a Cards fanatic, but still enjoyed there run to the Superbowl. KC fans!! If you get Haley I wish you and him the best. Except for 2 certain games a year. :)

Why wouldn't I be at all surprised if this fine poster has never been to KC?

It IS a great town, and my hometown. Proud of it. Agreed that the cost of living is very affordable, it DOES have a rich history, and its citizens are friendly. I now live elsewhere in MO for career reasons, but KC will ALWAYS be home.

I have family in Phoenix. No disrespect. Beautiful in the desert valley. Congestion like in any other major city. Not better than KC. Just different.

And neither are "dumps."

Kurt Warner and Todd Haley

Cardinals offensive coordinator Todd Haley saw his star rise during Arizona's improbable run to the Super Bowl. Haley will now have the opportunity to cash in on his team's success. From KansasCity.com:

The Chiefs have received permission from the Arizona Cardinals to interview Todd Haley for their head coaching vacancy, sources said.

It was unclear when or where the meeting between Haley and Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli would take place....

Haley and Pioli worked together from 1997 through 1999 with the New York Jets, Pioli as the director of pro personnel and Haley as an assistant coach.

The Chiefs were planning to announce their new head coach later this week.

• Chiefs get permission to talk to Cardinals' Haley (KansasCity.com)
