<body>He'll do fine in the warm months of the fall -- but once it starts getting cold and windy, he will struggle. Last year the Packers looked like a dome team - once the weather turned south, the offense largley struggled - and that's with a lot more offensive talent than the NY Jets have right now.</body>

<body>Need to wonder if Brett is in &amp;quot;football shape&amp;quot;. During the soap opera, little information from his camp (King included) about Brett's off-season conditioning program. Perhaps the Packers saw a soft Favre and what little support B.F. had within Titletown quickly eroded.</body>

<body>This is going to be a tough year - history doesn't have many good examples of againg quarterbacks making it on new teams. Learning a new offense is difficult, and the rest of the offense won't have patience for him not being fluent in the playbook. He's not exactly Einstein, you know.</body>

<body>i am not sure that the Jets are ready here. A quarterback alone cannot change your fortunes unless there is some degree of familiarity. Favre mioght get them an additional 3 - 4 wins at most...forget about the playoffs and the Superbow? Give me a break of that Kit Kat bar. This move is to sell tickets. The kind of success that the Jets are looking for only comes after years of chemistry building and familiarity with one another. There are still another 10 guys and Favre wont do it by himself. Sorry Jets fans.</body>

<body>Another aging veteran who doesn't know when to quit.should have stuck to his word and stayed retired. this will be ugly by midseason. i personally am disappointed he came back,i lost respect for him. if the jets win the superbowl it will make a nice movie and i'll be president.

<body>I think he'll do well. Offense shmoffense. A slant is a slant, and Brett can still gun a slant pattern down with the best of 'em. His arm is still there. He had ankle surgury two years ago, so he'll be able to move around well if he has to. Coles'll be able to get the YAC, and Jones'll be good in the flat. Not to mention that he'll have Bubbles as a safety-valve. Jets are gonna' be good.

Plus, Brett will be rejuvinated with a new team.

Which means...2nd-rounder, here we come!

...except, to Jets fans: buckle up and get ready for the Brett Favre experience. Brett will win you a couple games you have no business winning, but he'll flat-out lose you a game you have no business losing, and you'll have no idea why.</body>

<body>I agree, Brett might start out a little slow but by week three he should start feeling comfortable with his new team mates and new system. I also think his leadership will make his team mates better, how much remains to be seen.

I think the Jets will make some noise this year in the AFC, enough noise for Brett to come back and play in 09.

Don't count the Jets out, the NY Giants were not on anyones radar mid way through last season and look what they did...</body>

<body>Favre might start a little slow, but he will grasp the offense and put up some good numbers. Remember that ever since the inception of the salary cap the difference between a 12-4 and 4-12 team is 4 players, and the Jets have addressed a lot of their needs this past off-season.

Unfortunately, it wasn't a clean divorce with the Packers. Needless to say the Packers believe that Rodgers will beter than Favre at this juncture in his career and that Favre is better than all of the NFC North QBs.

Rodgers has probably faced more pressure now than he will probably see from any pass rush or blitz during the upcoming season. All he needs to do is to continue being the class act that he has demonstrated throughout this ordeal and he will be alright.</body>

<body>Favre is washed up. This is great for the Packers since they are no longer held hostage by Brett. Favre will have a terrible year and the Jets will stink again. IT can be the ending note to a much overrated career for favre. He will get to add to his interception record though.</body>

<body>SI.com asked four of its writers to assess how the Favre trade will work out for the Jets offense, in which &lt;a href=&quot;http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/football/nfl/specials/preview/2008/08/07/experts.panel/index.html?eref=T1&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;they analyze&lt;/a&gt; such things as the increased value of the tight end and how excited the offensive line has to be over Favre&amp;#39;s arrival. What&amp;#39;s your take on Favre&amp;#39;s potential impact?</body>
