Pigs are much cleaner than chickens. Chickens get crapped on by other chickens all the time. Not to mention the bugs, mites and other stuff in the feathers. Pigs clean themselves regularly.
Tko27 | 08/20/08, 02:33 PM
------------------------
You are right on the money. Pigs definitely get a bad rap, because they do like to keep themselves clean. I think it stems from when farmers used to keep them in outdoor pens, and the only way they had to cool off was to roll in the mud.

Marshall, I stepped away for a bit but to answer you're earlier question about my whereabouts in N. Ga. I grew up between the towns of La Fayette and Dalton in a little place called West Armuchee Valley. My dad worked as a letter carrier for the USPS in Dalton, which was about 35 miles to the east.
Stack1009 | 08/20/08, 02:31 PM
--------------------
I haven't been to Dalton in a long time. I lived there for about six months in 1978, right before I went into the Air Force. I worked at one of the many carpet mills there. I did stop there when I was on my way out here to Washington state in 2005, but it was just a quick stop off of I-75 to pick up a few things at a grocery store. I've heard that it has really grown since I was there. And the mountains of North Georgia are beautiful, I don't think a lot of folks realize that we have that sort of scenery going on.

Though I didn't see it (thanks, NBC), I hear that Usain Bolt looked awesome in running a 19.30 to win the Olympic 200, breaking Michael Johnson's epic world record of 19.32 set during the 1996 Atlanta Games. That makes Bolt not only the first man since Carl Lewis to sweep the 100 and 200 at the same Games, but the first ever to win both in world-record times.

In other words, Bolt is pretty fast. But as Gene Rayburn might wonder: How fast is he?

We set out to answer that in true Match Game fashion:

10. He's so fast, he can outrun the Beijing smog

9. He's so fast, he doesn't give incompetent Olympic judges time to screw him

8. He's so fast, he's literally invisible to American viewers until 13 hours after he finishes

7. He's so fast, he can finish a Michael Phelps breakfast while you're still tucking in your napkin

6. He's so fast, he hit age 16 quicker than a Chinese gymnast

5. He's so fast, he can run 50 meters before Bela Karolyi spits out a single "reep-off!"

4. He's so fast, he makes the Redeem Team look like it's running the "slow break"

3. He's so fast, Bill Clinton's taking notes

2. He's so fast, he calculated gymnastics' uneven bars tiebreaker in his head before the computer

1. He's so fast, he made America's supposed sprint dominance disappear
