The official price of Super Bowl tickets has reached $1,000 for the first time this season. And remember, that’s just the face value. In other words, that’s what the scalpers will pay before flipping them for $5,000 a pop and more.

This is merely the most obvious sign that the common fan has been completely priced out of our nation’s major sporting events. Here are some other ways to tell that the people in the stands at the big games aren’t true fans:

10. They root for the Bills, Bucks and Predatory Lenders

9. Think Barry Bonds broke the home run record held by Hammerin’ Henry Paulson

8. They qualify for Obama’s “Joe the Plumber” tax

7. Consider A-Rod underpaid

6. Rally caps replaced by heartfelt chants of “Bailout! Bailout!”

5. She’s wearing a pink No. 9 Cowboys jersey

4. They’re on a corporate junket for AIG execs

3. With team trailing at halftime, make offer to buy out coach’s contract

2. Rather than politely say “Down in front,” send in private security force

1. Light victory cigar with rolled-up bill from taxpayers
