Here's Yu Darvish, who apparently won't start tomorrow night's final against Korea.

Japan is three outs from a return to the WBC final and a fifth matchup in this tournament against rival Korea.

Watching dominant starter Darvish pitch in relief against Derek Jeter, wearing his road grays, in this situation, I'm having flashbacks of Randy Johnson in Game Seven of the 2001 World Series. Jeter grounds out to short for the fourth time in the game, bringing up Jimmy Rollins, the designated hitter who hasn't made an out all night.

Rollins goes 4-for-4 as he singles to right.

David Wright is strikes out on a check swing, bringing Adam Dunn to the plate with two out. Rollins takes second base on defensive indifference.

Dunn is called out on a 96 mph fastball on the outside half of the plate.

Japan wins!

Tomorrow night's final is going to be intense. Too bad this game wasn't.

I'll be back in a bit with some post-game (and post mortem) comments.
