The new Korean pitcher is right-hander Hyun Wook Jong, who hasn't allowed a run in seven innings in this tournament, striking out nine and allowing just five baserunners.

Cleanup hitter Kenji Johjima is up with men on the corners and one out.

The first pitch from Jong is fouled off right into catcher Kyung Oan Park. He shakes it off, then receives a fastball way high from Jong. A changeup low makes it 2-1. Johjima then fouls back a 92 mph fastball to even the count. A curve outside runs the count full. Johjima then takes an awful swing at a changeup way outside and low and strikes out.

One out, men still on the corners for Michihiro Ogasawara, who swings through a 93 mph first-pitch fastball away, then through another down in the zone, and another for strike three. Norichika Aoki took off on that last pitch. The play at second was close, but Aoki overslid the bag, resulting in a rally-killing K/CS double play.

Those were awful at-bats by Johjima and Ogasawara.
