The Mets hope to activate Alou on Monday, pushing back his return a few days because of poor weather.
Alou has played only once since May 21 due to a strained left calf. The plan calls for him to play a few games for Double-A Binghamton starting Friday before joining the major league team.

Breaking News: Sunday, June 29

Alou should begin rehab games on Monday and is expected to return to the Mets' lineup next weekend at Philadelphia, according to the New York Daily News.
Alou, who has played only once since May 21 due to a strained left calf, is hitting .347 with nine RBIs this season in only 15 games.
