Born April 07, 1979
Beltre joined Stephen Drew of the Diamondbacks in hitting for the cycle on Monday.
It was the first time two players hit for the cycle on the same day since Sept. 17, 1920, when Bobby Veach of the Detroit Tigers and George Burns of the New York Giants did it, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. John Olerud was the last to do it for Seattle, on June 16, 2001, against San Diego.
Beltre homered twice as Seattle beat the Cleveland Indians 6-4 Sunday to complete a three-game sweep.
Beltre finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and has now hit in seven straight games. He's hitting .414 (12-for-29) with three doubles, three homers and six RBIs over that span.
