According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Laird has been riding a stationary bike and hopes to begin baseball activities soon.

Laird, out since June 20 with a pulled hamstring, isn't taking any risks with his recovery. "I'm just going to go on how it feels and try to stay sharp," he told the newspaper. "I want to make sure I'm ready to come off (the disabled list) when I do, because I don't want any more setbacks."
