Drafted in 1996 - (Pick 5 : Round 1)
Out of Connecticut
Born July 20, 1975
Allen, who was held scoreless on 0-of-4 shooting in Boston's Game 1 win over Cleveland, didn't score again in the first half on Thursday, but chipped in 16 in the second half as the Celtics romped over the Cavaliers 89-73 in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.
Dating back to Game 7 against Atlanta, Allen is averaging 7.7 points on 26.9 percent shooting. But with the stifling defense the Celtics play, it's no longer incumbent upon Allen to put up big offensive numbers. After Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, a big night from Allen is a bonus.
Allen was held scoreless on 0-for-4 shooting in 37 minutes of action as the Celtics took an ugly 76-72 victory over the Cavaliers on Tuesday night in Game 1 of their second-round playoff series.
Allen, who hadn't been held scoreless in any game since Feb. 26, 1997 during his rookie season with Milwaukee, has totaled seven points and 3-for-16 shooting in his last two games after averaging 17.7 points and shooting 44.3 percent in his first six games this postseason.
