West had 23 points and 12 rebounds on Thursday but the Spurs beat the Hornets 110-99 in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals.
West has more than held his own so far against Tim Duncan and the rest of San Antonio's front line, averaging 21.0 points and 10.3 rebounds in the series' first three games.
Breaking News: Tuesday, May 06
West was held to 10 points and 2-for-11 shooting as the Hornets took a 2-0 lead in their second-round playoff series against the Spurs with a 102-84 win on Monday night.
The Hornets have to be encouraged that they beat the reigning NBA champs despite a sub-par performance from their second-leading scorer. Dating to last season, the Hornets were 3-10 in games in which West was held to 10 or fewer points before Monday's victory.
