Wow, great long argument, knicksfan. But hey, I'll make my argument now. Has everyone forgot about Pujols? He is consistently one of the top 5 hitters in the league every year. ARod will be on and off alot. Also, during a-rods MVP season last year, Pujols had a better batting average and still had 30+ HRs and 100+ RBI. That is one awesome season. Plus, Pujols consistently has one of the best BA in the NL. He has more batting titles already than ARod ever will. Plus, unlike A-Rod, Pujols doesn't choke in the playoffs, and he helped carry the Cards to the 06 title. Sure, A-Rod may be more popular, but I'd take A-rod any day.

you would take arod anyday what? 2 straight mvp awards. He carried the yankees to the playoffs if it wasnt for him they wouldnt have even made it to the playoffs. and thats nonsence that he choked. he carried the yankees for 160 games isnt that more important than talking about him choking for 4 or 5 games. he is not the reason the yanks lost to the indians. he shouldnt have had to carry them that long anways. he could take pujols anyday.

Wow, what a sucky argument. So your saying that it doesn't matter that A-rod choked in the playoffs EVERY SINGLE YEAR???? I wasn't just talking about the Indians series, I was talking about his consistently awful playoff performances. And you never argued why Pujols is worse. You just built up A-Rod a little bit. Just more facts about Pujols: he has average 40 HR's a year, he is on pace to break the home run record by age 40, and he has a .332 career average. Any questions?

A-rod strikes out alot, not a great BA, doesn't perform in the clutch, and on and on.

Yet the NYhomers boo A-rod a lot. Very hypocritical. Cheer when he gets a gamewinning hr, and boo when he strikes out.

I will vote for the guy who can form a sentence and won't begin one with "and". I know this isn't English class but you can't state your argument very well with they way your right.

How did I just submit the same argument twice? That's weird.

knicksfan here is why i dont vote for you in this TD:
1. You say Pujos sucks? He is actually very good
2. You sent me a fanmail begging me for votes
3. You have horrible arguements
4. This TD could have been easily won by you with better arguements

ARod 162 game career averages are:
.306, 44 HR, 128 RBIs, 130Ks, OBP .389, SLG% .578
Pujols 162 game career averages are
.332, 42 HR, 128 RBI, 67Ks, OBP .420, SLG %.620
and Pujols also has a better BA with RISP...one of my favorite numbers is that he's a power hitter who averages less than 70Ks a year...in 2006, he had only ONE more K than home run....

Pujols career BA with RISP is .344, ARod's is .306...
Pujols BA with RISP w/2 outs is .329. while ARod's is .274...
So...For his career averages, ARod has Pujols beat in home runs (by 2 a season) and steals (by a lot)...
Pujols has ARod in BA (by a lot), doubles (by 10 per season), OBP (by a lot), SLG % (by a lot), OPS (by a lot), BA with RISP (by a lot), BA with RISP and 2 outs (by a lot)..and strikeouts (in that he averages WAAAY less...only over 70 once...and never over 100)
Since his debut in 2001 through the 2006 season he leads the major leagues in RBI (758), runs (748), total bases (2,193), and extra base hits (522), and is second in home runs (250, to Alex Rodriguez 275), second in hits (1,159) to Ichiro Suzuki, second in doubles (260) to Todd Helton, and third in batting average (.3315) to Ichiro Suzuki (.333) and Todd Helton (.3316).
Pujols became the first Major League player to hit 30 or more home runs in each of his first six seasons, and the youngest to hit 250 home runs. He extended his 30-HR streak to seven consecutive years in 2007. He is also the first player since Ted Williams (8 yrs.; 1939-1942, and 1946-1949) to begin his career with seven straight 100 RBIs seasons.

A-rod could have been a 500-500 man. (steals and homers) But he has stopped stealing. Well, bases that is.
