theres a lot of guys in the nfl who are in a pretty sucky posistion. there stuck behind guys and never get to play. im gona list them 1-5
1.michael turner-has franchise rb potential, but the chargers wont trade him. hes wasting his whole career as LTs backup
2. aaron rodgers-supposed to be a franchise qb, slipped in the draft, and got stuck behind favre. at this rate, rodgers will retire before favre.
3.jim sorgi-peyton never misses a game.
4.matt cassel-neither does brady
5.ladell betts-yes, he does share carries with portis, but is in the same situation as turner. the only reason hes not up with him is that unlike turner betts actually gets some carries.

Ill say Rodgers...
Bradys back up Mannings back up and L.T.'s back up all know that they wont be getting the starts...if you think that then you are foolish...now Rodgers being drafted as a QB to learn off of Farve thought he was coming in when Farve was retiring...no with Farve not retiring and having a career season...there will be another season of Farve on the field and Rodgers on the bench...It will be Rodgers 4th year with no start in sight...depending on Farves year next year.

i was kinda hoping youd make a list. and it doesnt matter if they expect to start or not. if they dont expect to start that only makes it worse. turner has pro bowl potential that will never be reconized

well you never asked for a list or never gave who you wanted to choose either...
-Michael turner signed another 1 year deal with the Chargers...and by next season if there are no valid trade offers for him he will be released as a free agent...so im not seeing him having a problem, getting picked up. Its not that they didn't want to trade him...they just didn't get reasonable offers in their
eyes.
Ladell Betts signed a 5 year extension to his contract for 11 mil than rather explore free agency. So it was his choice to stay in the shadow of Portis...thats his fault...
Matt Cassell and Jim Sorgi are back ups for the best QB's in this area..there is no complaining in their eyes of being back ups to them...Sorgi just signed an extension throughout 2010...and Cassel signed through 2008 and he become s a free agent after this next season...so all these players except Rodgers sgned contracts knowing they were not going to play and or signed wanting to sit at the position they were in....Rodgers and GB were both under the impression that Farve was going to retire within the 3 years and he would have the start....

Turner will be a free agent, so he'll probably get a shot at a starting job somewhere. Green Bay and Houston are my guess.
Rodgers was expected to sit a year, maybe two, before Favre retired and handed the job over to him. Vote to Steveo.

A career back up all of his life. He was supposed to take over the reigns when Carson Palmer at USC left, but along came Matt Leinart. Now, he is a permanent back up in the NFL.
