Coaches, players and fans vote for the Pro-Bowl so existing reputation helps in making the team. Winning teams tend to have more players on the team (the Cowboys have 11 this year). The idea is that the best players on the better teams did more to help their team win.
Vanden Bosch played for a better (playoff) team in Tenessee than Williams and he is a 6th year former pro-bowl player (reputation).
FACTS:
Williams, 59 tackles (43 solo), 14.0 sacks, 4.5 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles, 1 pass defensed and no blocked kicks.
Vanden Bosch, 60 tackles, (48 solo), 12.0 sacks, 4.0 tackles for loss, 4 forced fumbles, 3 passes defensed and 1 blocked kick.
Statistically very similar. Williams had 2 more sacks but fewers FF, PD and BK.
Williams is realizing his potential and I think he'll be a Pro-Bowler next year but if the choice was to exclude Vanden Bosch so that he could make the team it would be just as unfair and not supported by performance.

There are no official stats but the Titans site credits Vanden Bosch with 30 or more QB pressures in each of the last 3 years. Add those to his sacks and he's doing a lot of damage to his opponents passing game.

I haven't done a lot of throwdowns but I find it insulting when someone starts a throwdown only to abandon it like an unwanted child.
It also wastes viewers and voters time.
If someone starts a throwdown they ought to have the courtesy to end it.

wat kind of arguement is that? Ok look Mario had a great year. Every year someone doesnt make it that people felt should have but guess wat if mario made it people would argue someone else should have made it. No matter what someone will be upset. There is a lot of talent out there and its hard to narrow it down and choose. Give it to the vet the 2nd year player will have many more if he keeps this up.

Report Offensive CommentBosch gets doubled too otherwise he plays in your backfield. Chargers didn't move the ball today until Gates was injured and backup TE #86 (Manumaleuna?) was kept in to help block. Bosch gets a lot of QB pressures.

He does deserve to go if someone else has to drop off the line.
