I would say yes to this question, because the Pack are going to go deep into the playoffs, but I'm going to have to think they're going to lose in the later rounds. Farve will then feel pressured to come back since his team was so close, and almost undoubtably the Front Office will agree to his terms because he is so good. Favre would love to feel the emotions of winning a Super Bowl all over again because he hasn't felt them in over ten years.

Ok, remember you challenged me and I won't decline, but I agree Favre is going to come back next season, but to say they're going to lose in the playoffs is just your prediction, they can make it to the Super Bowl or they might not, i'm not making any predictions because this is about Favre coming back.

Your reason for him coming back is because he will feel pressured to come back because of their position in the playoffs, I disagree, he will come back if he feels he is capable of playing for his team, right now he is, he has a talented team and a great coaching staff and is playing like he is in his prime, no reason he wouldn't come back when he is capable, but not because he feels pressured to.

Favre knows going to the Super Bowl is no easy thing to do, as he has done it twice, but as long as he feels comfortable playing and know he can play, he will.

We disagree that he will feels pressured to coming back, this is up to him he is his own person and a pro he will not come back to Green Bay if he thinks he can't lead Green Bay next year.

yes i think it was wrong of me to say that they will lose but that is just my predicition.
I think though that the Pack won't win the Super Bowl so he will feel obliged to come back 4 at least one last try. The dream of any player throughtout sports is to go out on top, and that is what he will probably do. Also if the Pack were doing bad last year, why'd he come back? 4 1 last try, but since he's so close after what i predict is going to be a later round loss it's easy to assume he'll try to win the BIG ONE.

Favre came back because he knew he could still play and because he knew how talented his team was when no one believed him, he knows what his team and himself are capable of, not the press, that's why he came back.

Every QB wants to go out on top, but it doesn't always happen that way, but as long as Favre knows he can lead Green Bay and play great like he is he will come back, but he won't feel obligated under any circumstance, he is a professional and will not put a team in a gamble if he knows he can't play as well, but he is playing great so I expect him to be back next year no matter what happens this season.

yes but as we see in the games and hear from his teammates is that he can still pla. people question his arm but his arm is still extremly strong. also this year he seems to be making better decisions, so if he can u this years knowledge, which he'll gain even more next year with his still strong arm, he could really play and so he would definetly want to come back, and play to lead his team to the Super Bowl, and ur right that dosen't always happen but if there is an oppurtuniy why wouldn't u take to be remebered as one of the greatest ever(to add to his legacy), who wouldn't try at least one last hurra if u could.

ok, well you agreed to everything I just said lol, nobody questions his arm this year, duh, Favre has always been the same player, it's the coaches and players that make a QB play to their caliber, Favre is already one of the greatest ever, and I never said he shouldn't try one more time, heck he could probably try 2 or 3 more times if he keeps playing this way, again you agreed to everything I said above.

This wasn't the best topic to challenge me on, I guess you though I would disagree, hello, I am a packer fan. lol.

He is probably gonna come back....soon he will look like Burt Reynold's at the end of the remake of The Longest Yard

January 7, 2008  12:23 PM ET

He's coming back. If this season was 5 and 11 instead of 12 and 4 (I think) he would retire.

A Pimp Named Slickback has become A Throwdowner named Ncshvdavid.

Nice.

January 7, 2008  12:27 PM ET

Favre will come back until he doesn't think he can help his team win anymore, or until he thinks he can't effectively be a QB anymore. He will be back next year.

January 7, 2008  01:01 PM ET

I don't think Favre feels or even thinks of the pressure. He still loves to play and still can be a top 10 QB in the league. Those are the reasons he will play. He is still like a child out there and its refreshing to see a veteran at his age still treat this as a game. He doesn't get to down after a loss and he celebrates a win.

How weird is it going to be not to see #4 under center? I remember the other QBs (Dilwig, Magic, Wright) but I have surprised those memories deep in my subconscious. It will just seem so weird to see someone else QB the Packers. Favre has done it so long that it seems wrong for anyone else to do it.

January 7, 2008  01:09 PM ET

There will be no pressure, Favre will come back because he can still produce and he still loves the game. I think the only way he doesn't return is if they win the SB and he feels he has nothing more to achieve..
I'm betting he comes back, kind feel sorry for Rodgers, though, he could probably be a starter for at least a dozen teams in the league.

January 7, 2008  01:41 PM ET

how this TD is tied idk, to say Favre would come back because of pressure is not true, Favre is a professional and wouldn't come back if he didn't think he could lead Green Bay and play well, but he is playing great, like in his prime, he will come back next year and more if he continues to still play great, but not by pressure.

January 7, 2008  02:22 PM ET

Don't feel sorry for Rogers. He will get his chance and probably sign a pretty good deal with the Packers after next year and never really have to prove himself in the process. He will get starter money from the Packers. I was always worried about him but after his pre-season this year and the Dallas game I think he will take the job by storm once he gets his chance. I also don't think that Green Bay will give him to much pressure replacing Favre.

January 7, 2008  03:28 PM ET

You guys both agree he is coming back=no vote.

January 7, 2008  03:31 PM ET

lol he wanted to challenge me, so I let him didn't know why he would pick this TD topic though, we disagree on the fact of why Favre will come back though.

January 7, 2008  03:37 PM ET

Favre wont feel pressured at all, he could walk away if they lose 42-0 to Seattle and know he had a great career and was part of the reason they did so great this year

FYI: Favre probably could and I hope he will play till he's 45

Hey Vinny is in the NFL

Having said that, GB is in trouble vs the Seahawks

Kearney is a beast

The Packers might just win but its going to be tough

January 7, 2008  04:35 PM ET

GB is in trouble? I doubt that, seriously. Seahawks had a weak schedule and are in a weak division that would make alot of ok teams look great, Kearney is good but the Seahawks haven't faced a team like GB this season, it will be a good game, but GB has the edge.

Harder than u think Pack Man

And I am a big Packers fan

January 7, 2008  04:48 PM ET

I know it's not going to be a walk through the park for Green Bay, but i'll put my money on GB coming out of this game with the win.
