Sports Illustrated just ran a photo shoot of the best players on each jersey number, it's on the home page. You're original idea is in fact, not original. You just took their arguments. You even started with their picks for #1. Are you both in on this? if so, I bet you pick Secretariat and Derek Jeter for your #2 argument.

@ Captainbagz - I did know that SI ran such a photo feature - but so what? The fact that my opponent chose Warren Moon (as did SI) does not mean they're necessarily correct - these things are still debatable and hence TD-worthy (though it'd be crazy to do this for 100 straight TDs)

Personally I don't have time to be in cahoots with someone to try an up my TD win-loss record - people have lives....

And if I were to argue #2 - I certainly wouldn't pick a horse - triple crown winner or no - neither would I pick Jeter - so there goes your brilliant detective work - Malone was the greatest player to wear the #2 jersey - it's not even close

2) "I'm going to start my sentence with 'Personally I', because just starting it with 'I' might confuse people as to whom I am talking about. Then I'm going to pretend that my life is under scrutiny here."

This guy's name alone tells you that he doesn't understand who the best is. Montana to Rice or Brady to Moss. Those are good combos right there... But in all seriousness, if Warren Moon had been white no one would remember him. He was a lesser Fran Tarkenton with less accuracy, football acumen, and technique. His great talent is largely exaggerated.

Moons numbers were skewed because of his time in the CFL. It's a pass happy league built for Quarterbacks like himself.

I'm am sick and friggin tired of horeses being in the discussion of "best athlete" are you freaking kidding me...IF Derek Jeter had a little midget on his back whoopin him with a riding crop he would run fast too....so friggin dumb that horses are considered athletes.....their an animal....with the motivation of someone whooping their backside...

"I'm glad to see your #2 will be original at least." - If I argue for Moses, how would that be original? Did SI not already list him under "worthy of consideration"? You either cannot recognise numbers or you can't read - To be original, I'd have to pick someone that wasn't mentioned by SI, no?
