He was the star player this year. He is better than some of the NFl players that have been playing for a couple years. He is a rookie. It is an amazjng feat

The key word in your argument is some. Even though AD has had a wonderful season he is not front cover material with players like peyton, brady,LT,moss, farve and many more who esentialy had a better season then him. Im not sayin he will never get on the cover of madden im just sayin this isnt the year since he did get injured for a while and missed a lot of playin time which affected his stats.

AD stats for 2007 1,341-yd 12-td
LT stats for 2007 1474-yd 15-td
as you can see LT had a better season which puts LT with a better chance of gettin the cover.

^Thats it, Adrian is a rookie

AD is good but to unexperienced plus i think only a player that got into playoffs shoulgd get the title.
here some players i think deserve it more than him:

Tom Brady- he broke td record and got his team undefeated
Brett Farve- hes old but this is the best weve seen him for a while
peyton-did very well in pass completion a true player
moss-broke td record and was amazing
Tony Romo-he was one of the most popular players of 2007

Forfeited Turn

my argument as above^

bucc you have a good chanc to win.

January 11, 2008  04:30 PM ET

LT!!!

January 11, 2008  04:34 PM ET

LT already declined last year because he doesnt want to get hurt

Joe Addai!!!

January 11, 2008  04:37 PM ET

AD already gets hurt, so it's no problem if he's on the cover...

January 11, 2008  04:39 PM ET

Romo.

January 11, 2008  04:39 PM ET

It's a possibility.

January 11, 2008  04:39 PM ET

LT will not do it..he already turned it down..most likely it will be AP..I also don't understand the argument about stats as it realtes to LT since he already said no..AP is th emost liekly candidate since Vince Young went after a great rookie campaign...

January 11, 2008  04:40 PM ET

romo is actually more possible then LT

January 11, 2008  04:40 PM ET

How about Tom Brady or Peyton Manning who have never made the cover arguably the best 2 players in the game.

January 11, 2008  04:42 PM ET

I agree with bombers, LT had way better stats than Young last year and Young gets the cover...Peterson has a better chance at it than you think but it could finally go back to a defensive player in Willis (just dreaming here)

January 11, 2008  04:45 PM ET

Never been a white player on the cover of Madden. Madden hates us honkies.

January 11, 2008  04:48 PM ET

i think theres some confusioun im not sayin LT will get it im say AD wont. Im not pickin anyone his argument is AD will mine is he wont.

January 11, 2008  04:50 PM ET

Buc nailed it... peterson

January 11, 2008  04:52 PM ET

I do think Peterson will be on the cover, however. Peterson is very young and marketable, the trend for the cover athlete. Dante Culpepper and Michael Vick are the ones who come to mind. They were rising stars. Marshall Faulk, Ray Lewis, and Donovan McNabb were established stars. Shaun Alexander was probably the weirdest selection ever.

January 11, 2008  04:54 PM ET

It won't be an established star anymore. The endorsement does pay that well anymore which is why LT turned it down last year. Madden is going the way of young up and coming stars. I think AD has a great chance to be on it.

January 11, 2008  04:55 PM ET

This also has less to do with stats and more do with marketability.

January 11, 2008  04:58 PM ET

They should make it all old players like NCAA Football did with Desmond Howard. Red Grange cover athlete. You're feeling me. Curly Lambeau on the cover. Maybe Sid Luckman on 2011.

What about Brett Favre? Are we forgetting about him? Look at his age and what he was able to do this year. Over 4,000 yds passing and 25 td's. He broke the all time TD record (and yes, the all time interception record also). I believe he also took over the all time passing yd record as well. I think he deserves it more than anybody else. I'm not just using this season as my arguemnt for Brett, but throughout his whole career.

January 11, 2008  05:02 PM ET

LT already said no...

What makes you think he will say yes this time?

January 11, 2008  05:04 PM ET

If anyone, I think AD: But wasn't this year's different? It seems this year Madden had a hodge-podge of players...or am I wrong?
