Who should the Jets draft

Pick 1st
Argue 2,3

Jets should pick Chris Long

I personally think the Jets should take Jonathan Stewart

The Jets need a better pass rush. They have Washington and Jones who are both solid runners so they dont need another rb.Long fits the 3-4 perfectly which he played in at Virginia and had 14 sacks last year plus the jets need another pass rusher to go along with ellis.Lastly they always make the SAFE pick and Long is that guy

The run game was ranked 19th in the NFL last year. Jonathan Stewart is a solid physical runner who can help the Jets next year. Depth at running back is such an important thing. There are some solid pass rushers that the Jets could probably land in free agency. Some good potential free agent pass rushers are: Jerome McDougle, Mike Rucker, Antwan Odom, Jared Allen and Tyler Brayton are all solid free agent pass rushers that the Jets could potentially land. So I don't think they should take the risk of drafting a guy like Chris Long who could end up a bust in the NFL, while these guys are all proven guys who can get the job done.

Forfeited Turn

I don't think the Jets will be able to get Jake Long because he'll be gone before they pick. Also I think Chris Long will be gone before the number 6 pick too. I don't think it would be wise for the Jets to trade up to try and get either Long. The Jets need all of the draft picks they can get.

Are you kidding, badgerfan?

Chris Long is a great fit in the Jets defense. He would give them a versatlie player who the Jets could really use. If they stuck him at outside linebacker(a position Chris Long has the ability to play), the Jets would have a pretty scary linebacking corps with David Harris, Jonathan Vilma, and Chris Long.

Jets pick 6th....no way do you take a running back that high unless he is a superstar. Good running back can be found at all levels of the draft.

If McFadden is there at sixth, that's an acceptable running back pick. Jonathan Stewart is not.

They have decent runners, if they want to improve the running game, they need to upgrade their line. D'Brickashaw Ferguson is not a real tough run blocker.

thomas jones needs a 2 back system...or a better oline...and i will say a better o line...

Vote to the left on this one.

I don't see Stewart as a wasted draft pick at 6th. He is very talented and will be a huge success for whoever chooses him. Chris Long on the other hand is good but do people really think he'll be a star like his pops. Maybe the Jets should consider a quarterback with their pick. Matt Ryan, Flacco, or Brian Brohm.

I am going to have to vote to the left. They should draft Jake Long.

Stewart is an athletic freak, who will probably excel in a two-back system in the NFL. He's the number on big back in the draft, and mixed with smaller runners like Jones or Washington, the Jets run game could be a force. That being said, they do need the help on defense.

Thomas Jones rushed for over a 1,000 yards. He isn't the problem. The Jets need to draft a Long. Either Chris or Jake. The D-line or O-line needs to be upgraded.

However, if McFadden was available then he is the choice hands down. But, Stewart? No way. Vote to NYFan07.

You really think Stewart is worth the 6th pick
