The team is playing 10x better without Gilbert and the team is finally a unit rather than gilberts backups. Caron Butler is showing how much of a leader he can be without the stud player there and is doing a hell of a job. Antonio Daniels is playing phenominal. Antwan Jamison and Brendon Haywood are playing well and DeShawn Stevenson has stepped up his defense a ton. Plus you have Young coming of the bench who has turned it on as of late. The team needs this and is making them stronger

No, no, no, no, and let me see... NO. Gilbert Arenas is what mainly has held this team together. Recently, Caron Butler and Jamison have stepped up because Gilbert's injured. But once he's back, he'll be the same old #0; aggressive, talented, and a great player.

What have they done with Gilbert there? Silbert would be more useful on another team. Eddie Jordan doesn't need to deal with Gilberts ballhogging and holding the team back from their true potential. They are doing great without Gilbert. Why break the streak? Gilbert should be on a team who needs a player like that like the Philadelphia 76ers who on a side note gotten declined of there offer of 12,000 for Andre Iguodala. The Wizards need to move on, they are on the right path, they need to let Gilbert stay out of the way

Excuse me? Did you just say "What have they done with Gilbert there?" Dude. You have MAJOR problems with understanding analysts. Arenas is one of the CORNERSTONES of the Wizards. That's right. CORNERSTONE. You don't trade away and cornerstone of your team unless they're really desperate about being traded (i.e. Allen Iverson).

Cornerstone my ****. He is a building stone, thats all he is. Like i said Eddie Jordan doesn't need to deal with Gilberts ballhogging and holding the team back from their true potential. The wizards are a unit without Gilbert. They should let him go and work on resigning Antwan Jamison and Caron Butler rather then paying Gilbert 12-14 thousand. They don't need a ball hog strutting around like he's the coach. They need to work as a team

They do work as a team. The reason why Gilbert couldn't excel in other aspects of the game is because it used to be just Jamison on offense. Now he has a lot more options. Plus, Kobe is a HUGE ballhog but you don't see the Lakers putting him on the block.

too slow...

Theyre 3-5 with him this year... 20-14 w/o him... But I think overall they are a better team with him. Not only has Gil seen what this team is capable, but his teammates have gained confidence. I think they should re-sign him.

The team isn't better bc Arenas isn't there, its because they've actually played defense this year.

Gilbert is not needed on a team that has 2 stars already. Wizards should trade him for a young but talented point guard or a Center

January 28, 2008  10:41 PM ET

who are you suggesting they pick up as there talented point guard or center?

I still cant belive the Lakers traded Butler for Bynum. UGH!
