The Miami Dolphins will select Defensive End Chris Long from Virginia.

Do I even really need 2 respond 2 this garbage of a first argument other than to say you know nothing about the NFL so-called King?

The Dolphins need a lot of help, but most of that is on offense. 2 select a DE #1 overall speaks of the year the Texans took Mario Williams over Reggie Bush because they couldnt afford him aka an idiotic move 4 both talent, need, n box office draw. MW makes some nice plays. Bush makes some spectacular plays and puts butts in the seats, something no team can turn their back on in the era of multi-million dollar salaries 4 the average player.

I am going 2 do something I have never done before-just say you are WRONG without picking a player. There are too many way other good choices besides Long that the Dolphins would be better served with taking but I wont name just one because if some yahoo doesnt agree with my choice he or she may just pull a brain fade and vote for you out of ignorance.

My argument is you made the wrong choice. CHRIS LONG WILL NOT BE THE NUMBER ONE OVERALL PICK FOR THE MIAMI DOLPHINS.

Now tell us Mr King why Jake Long needs to be picked over every other potential number one pick and dont toss another weak argument our way

Yes, I guess you do need to respond to my 'garbage' of a first argument if you dont want to lose, so i see no point in writing that.

The Dolphins obviously need a lot of help, they had one win this season! Mario Williams is not Chris Long, and the Texans are not the Dolphins. My point? Stop comparing things that are not alike!

And c'mon how can you be winning? You didnt pick a player, you crticized 'yahoos', you compared something that doesnt affect what the throwdown is about!
THE THROWDOWN SAYS AS FOLLOWS JUST IN CASE YOU NEED TO SEE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE:
With the #1 pick in the NFL draft the Miami Dolphins select.....
Your Answer: No you are wrong, the texans took williams over bush....., and im not picking a player because you are wrong mr. king, simply wrong!
I THINK THE YAHOOS ARE THE ONES VOTING 4 U
AND I MADE MY ARGUMENT NOW YOU HAVE TO MAKE YOURS! AT LEAST CONTRADICT WITH A PLAYER!

CHRIS LONG WILL BE THE NUMBER ONE PICK FOR THE MIAMI DOLPHINS! I've made my statement nice and clear, and YOU need to come back without another weak argument, MS. NFL GODESS (lol)

Chris Long will not be the number one pick for the Miami Dolphins. No mock drafts I have seen anywhere of note state this so you pick is nothing more than one man's fantasy.

I only need to argue a player if you made a good choice and I need to counter it, but you didnt.

Chris Long and the #1 draft pick are NOT ALIKE so stop comparing them.

Wow, you just wrote the SAME THING you said on your last argument.
C'mon!

Chris Long will be the number one pick. No mock drafts state this so? Ha, here are a few links:

Cassidy and yahoo's? Now THAT IS comparable.

Well bud since are you so in tune with where to find Long going number 1 it is no suprise where you got your idea from.

I think you are wrong and this will be proven in April. Bill Parcells is calling the shots now in Miami and he knows no matter how padded he can make their defense, they may go winless next year if he cant put an offense on the field that can score some damn points. The beginning to ending that dilema is to draft some offensive players in the draft.

Miami got rid of its best receiver in Chris Chambers last year so they definately need to get a WR somewhere in the draft and their QB right now is a young buck who blows. Need to get somebody better at that position asap if Miami wants to win any games next year.

They are set at RB assuming Ronnie Brown can come back 100 percent from injury to start the season, but nobody is talking about how the Dolphins have this great O-line and in fact its gonna get any QB killed next year unless they upgrade that position as well. So Miami is definately going to draft an offensive guy.

Parcells is a scheme guy and he knows he can work with the D coordinator to come up with some cover 2 to mask defensive player holes.

Get him Cass....

Easy win for Cassidy.

January 29, 2008  06:40 PM ET

Damn Cass got me!

January 29, 2008  06:41 PM ET

A sixth grader could have "got" you with a TD opening like that

January 29, 2008  06:42 PM ET

Watch Mr Cassidy get all over this dude! It's like discovery channel! Shark v anchovy

January 29, 2008  06:42 PM ET

Chris Long and Sedrick Ellis are two very possible picks at #1. Both of them can flat out play and both of them are relentless. They are also much better than Glenn Dorsey. I know everyone speaks of Dorsey like he's this guy who's all over the place, but I haven't seen it, and I've seen Dorsey play a lot. Chris Long is absolutely relentless, there is no stop in him. It's so hard to find a guy who has the motor and talent of Chris Long. Sedrick Ellis is a guy who plays the same way that Chris Long does. He's not as versatile as Long, but he can still play,

Why advertise this TD Cass? You're gonna win anyway, don't bother me with this garbage. Let me know when you get a good TD going.

January 29, 2008  10:00 PM ET

Did I bother the God of Fannation with my measly throwdown? I am sorry Prescious, go back to making your sequels for Lord of the Rings.

January 29, 2008  11:11 PM ET

Not a bad choice. Dorsey is banged up. Defense wins championships (or EXCEPTIONAL offenses). I like the Long pick at #1.

January 30, 2008  10:13 AM ET

I think Cassidie is more bitter than before. She lashes out in hate at anyone who dares criticize her ever so slightly. It's sad really....

January 30, 2008  10:30 AM ET

Name one spectacular play Reggis Bush made last year? O yeah, thats right, he didn't make ONE! The end of his rookie year Reggie Bush did make some spectacular plays, but last year he regressed like no other. Mario Williams had a great year last year, and now it looks like the Texans were smart for taking Williams over Bush. I was going to vote for Cassidy, but then she made that outrageous point about Reggie Bush being spectacular so I have to vote for the King.

January 30, 2008  06:43 PM ET

Wait a second isnt Jake Long an offensive tackle from Michigan? Yeah he is, look at Cassidy's last paragraph on her first argument.

January 30, 2008  10:14 PM ET

Nygiantssbxl, she is about to go crazy on you somewhere.
Chris Long is a very plausable pick for the Dolphins, and I don't see why you mention Jake Long in your first argument Cass. Isn't this about CHRIS Long? Terrible idea for an argument, it is crazy for anyone to vote for you here. You were looking for the easy win, and you might not get it. Depends how many Women R Us members you pull in here for votes.

January 31, 2008  07:52 AM ET

Hmm...Chris Long is not Jake Long. Unless he is, which would be friggin' awesome. Come to think of it, I've never seen them together....

Those links that King posted are mock drafts with C. Long going first, which refute's Cass' argument. Vote left.
