There is just to much compettion in that Division. The Cowboys are dominent and I think they are going to bounce back and have a great season again and make it a little farther in the playoffs. With some off the field interferences the Eagles struggled this season but I think now that Donavan McNabb is back to full health the Birds are going to be back to there normal dominent selves. The Redskins are a work in progress but so far they have found there strengths and weaknesses going full swing into next season after a phenominal end of the season run the skins will be roaring and ready to go. The Giants though they will do well, will not end up winning the NFC East

There are too many variables to make any "cast in stone" remarks. The Giants themselves showed the world that when everything comes together just right anything is possible.
I am taking anything from the G-men but:
If Favre doesn't get so greedy, the G-men don't even go to the super bowl.
The fantastic catch over the middle that put the G-men in position for the final TD doesn't happen but maybe 2 out of 10 times.
There are too many things that can happen to even a real"team" with "talent" that could keep them from getting to divisional titles.
You made good points but there aren't any guarentees....Look at the Pats...NE doesn't have a perfect season if all of the supposed "heavy weights" didn't have problems early on in the season..The pats were supposed to have a tough schedule because of their success the year before and ended up with a cake walk the 1st part of the year.
This year proved more than any that you don't really know what's going to come out of the bag until you shake it!
Except for the Redskins..The East is up for grabs and that includes the G-men!

Think about this logically. We will take it team by team here and see where the Giants stand amongst the NFC East.
Dallas Cowboys, if they maintain the same momentum this upcoming season as they did the last season the NFC East is a lock for America's team. As you could tell in the one season game where the Cowboys actually tried they completely mopped the floor of the giants. Eli Manning will not go into the season with this kind of momentum he has now. The Boys "real" defense will show throughout the season on the reigning champs. They stand no chance.
VERDICT: Boys will beat the Giants the first time they play them and will loose the 2nd time because they either locked a position in the playoffs or a major player was injured
Philadelphia Eagles, now lets pull up a comment from below shall we. " the Eagles will not even matter" by DynamicDuo2625. What kind of retard makes a bold statement like that after the team had a pretty decent season with many players hurt and there QB basically in Injury the whole season. So many are acusing me of "hating" on the giants after they won the super bowl on the grandest stage.

OK!
The boys are getting a little old aren't they? I'm not saying they need to be totally revamped but still, they are not like the Green Bay Packers where they are very young at about every positon . Can Romo win the big one? As far as I am concerned it is still a wait and see thing on how they pan out...They have a lot of up-side but it still has to all come together and Jerry Jones seems to get in the way too much.
The Eagles are the same way...Mcnabb never has been "great" in my book...prone to injuries and his play can fluctuate all over the place. Can Mcnabb do his thing next year? I agree with some...He might not even be with the Eagles and truthfully if the Eagles want to go for the gold they need a fresher face with better legs.
The redskins are the biggest "throw some on the wall and see what sticks" story in the East. They are sort of like the TD on "who would be the MVP if the Patiots win" DUH! They don't know anything about who's gonna be where..They lost their only consistent item with GIBBS!
The giants? Eli has shown he's good enough to show up "sometimes" I don't see any "marked improvement with him. Everything on this team is a variable to some degree..

Bonescma said 02/06, 02:29 PM
So yea!
When you look at the upside of the various teams in the NFC East...All of the teams have a lot of good possibilities except for the Redskins.
But you know what? Even they can't be counted out!
I lost a throwdown not too long ago over the question of "how important a coach was" in the equation.
Everyone wanted to say that it IS MAINLY UP TO THE PLAYERS TO GO OUT AND PERFORM
The redskins could actually get a good coach that could bring the players together and get the most out of them and have a good year.
Gibbs showed how the leadership of the coach and his people skills can make a difference.
Mcarthy showed how you can take a bunch of youngsters and teach and motivate them into playing better than some veterans.
You just never know when someone is going to work some magic or maybe they just want it more than the others.
How many people leave each team and who replaces them?
The proof is in the pudding and no team is really better than their next play.
I can't wait until its pudding time again!

Report Offensive CommentYea that was quick, guess you don't get any credit for beating a team that no one could beat, schooling Farve on his own turf braving the elements, going into a hostile dallas and beating the cowboys (and making TO cry), and dismantling the Giant killer himself Jeff Garcia and the bucs....yeah the might break .500 next year.

He ain't schooling nobody!
I'm glad for him that he did it!!! But he's still hind teat boy!

Report Offensive CommentThe Giants will not win the East. They will not make the playoffs. In fact NYG could possibly finish 3rd or 4th in the division. I think they stumble to a 9-7 record at best, but probably 8-8 or 7-9.

Report Offensive CommentNo 1 Giants didnt need to win the NFc East to win the SB this year, so who cares about the NFC East title. Ask the Cowboys how much they care about it. No 2 Hate on Eli all you want, but the fact is 31 other starting QBs in the NFL wish they were him today. So being hind teat beats being an only child mama's boy like bone

I'm sorry you are a giant homer but hey!
Bonescma | 02/04/08, 06:10 PM
Report Offensive CommentI totaly respect the win. But, i am not "hating" on the Giants I am simply saying the team won't finish in 1st place. Back to the Eagles. McNabb who was hurt all of last season in an injury that takes about a year to year had a hell of a season due to his injury. The Eagles are a better team the Giants just hit a few lucky bumps.
VERDICT: The Giants will loose all times against the Eagles due to the surge in play by Donavan McNabb.
Washington Redskins, the only team in which New York will probably beat. Ed Snyder isn't making the most genius decisions out there and will probably pay for it. Now if Steve Spagnola comes to coach that might be a different story, but the team needs a building block and some better WR also. Santana Moss is not going to get the job done by himself.
VERDICT:(Without Spagnola) The G-Men will win all times because of a Redskins disapointing season. (With Spagnola) They will win 2-3 or 1-2 due to the great turnaround of the the Redskins.

Report Offensive CommentWho cares if they win the NFC East...as we've seen this year, that doesn't mean ish!! Wild card = SB Champ this year. Eli and the Giants didn't "school" anyone this year, but they didn't need to. They just needed to play tougher, more in-your-face football and thats what they did. They didn't school anyone, but they smacked some teams around. The Pats were the bullies of the NFL and showed they can score but the Giants beat teams with power and defense. Just goes to show a good defense beats a good offense, defense wins games in the NFL.
NYpride | 02/05/08, 12:40 AM
Report Offensive CommentOK Trent, how many times do you think the Redskins will play the Giants next year?
ANd what makes you think McNabb will even be an Eagle next year? I give that at best a 50/50 chance. He'll more likely be a Bear or a Viking.
Frankly, I'd give odds that he misses 5+ games to injury next year, as well. Seems like he does every year.
And the Redskins owners name is Dan Snyder.
You need to seriously get a clue before posting your ignorance for all of fannation to see.

Report Offensive CommentNYpride- This is the 1st EVER NFC wildcard team to win the SB...This is special and will probably not happen again for a long time..
If Favre doesn't get too greedy and plus throw a bad pass...The Giants don't even make it to the SB... That game was Green Bays from the moment of the OVERTIME coin toss and Favre gave it away! The giants had beaten themselves and the Packers gave it back!
