Thanks, you too.

Obvious vote to the right.

We have on the right one of the most clutch players in the MLB.

Then on the left, a guy who cant get a hit in the playoffs.

February 7, 2008  06:08 PM ET

NEWYORKFAN17, if you woulda said best power hitter, you woulda gotten my vote. But best batter goes to Jeter.

February 7, 2008  06:17 PM ET

I thought this woulf be easy, A-Rod HRs and Avg...but when you bring the clutchness into it, I will have to waut to hear arguments.

February 7, 2008  06:45 PM ET

No question... Jeter. Alex stikes out too much.

February 7, 2008  08:11 PM ET

Sorry, but doesn't hitting automatically include power hitting as well...would you rather have ARod's .306 BA, 34 doubles, 44 HRs and 128 RBIs or Jeters .317, 17 HR, 34 doubles and 82 RBIs

I mean, seriously, if it was just about hits, we could just look at Batting Average and all go home...

Was this about clutch hitting or hitting?

Anyone picking Jeter over ARod is friggin kidding themselves...

February 7, 2008  08:24 PM ET

PS...part of 'hitting' is the ability to get on base, right...not only getting hits but taking walks, right?

ARod, career OBP .389, Jeter's .388...but since this about as a Yankee, their OBP's the last 4 years...ARod .402, Jeter .386

February 7, 2008  08:55 PM ET

'Most be last year ' (guessing the O should have been a U in Most)

OH WOW, this is about last year ONLY? Makes it even MORE ridiculous to pick Jeter over ARod, as if it wasn't ridiculous enough

ARod: .314, 31 2Bs, 54 HR, 158 RBI, .422 OBP, .645 slg%, 1.067 OPS
Jeter: .322, 39 2B, 12 HR, 73 RBI, .388 OBP, ..452 slg %, .840 OPS

February 8, 2008  07:24 AM ET

When AROD comes through the clutch in 4 world series then I will vote for him

February 8, 2008  08:19 AM ET

um, yoda...this was about LAST year, you know, when Jeter hit worse than ARod in the playoffs....and the Yanks were gone in round 1...

Besides, Jeter did that SEVEN season ago...seven...

February 11, 2008  06:56 PM ET

Sorry did not get to argue i was busy

February 11, 2008  08:52 PM ET

I would have chosen A-Rod. Jeter's the most overrated player in baseball.
