This guy is a star and should be living like Garnett or James. Being on the best team or have been in the NBA finals last year!

The lakers hardly kept him this season, whats going to keep him their next season?
Kobe will search else where just like the smart SHAQ did.
The Lakers Hardly beat the Worst team in the NBA yesterday, struggling at times.

The Lakers are nothing without this guy and he knows that, THATS A LOT OF PRESSURE

THIS GUY IS GONE IF SMART

Yes, Kobe is a star, and there is no better place to shine than Los Angeles. the Lakers now have a chance to make the NBA Finals this season w/ Pau Gasol now in the mix. People are saying the Lakers are now the best team in the Western Conference, so why would he want to leave?

Plus I think that now with Gasol, there is a lot less pressure on him to score. Staying with the team would be a smarter move.

The only way Kobe Bryant would be able to leave the Lakers next season is if he were to get traded. That's not happening. He can opt out of his contract in 2009, so until then, chances are slim to none that he will not be in a Laker uniform next season.

wELL CLEARly, this is becoming an argument of whether the LA Lakers are good or not.

The lakers are on a good run but with the change of one OK player(Gasol) they are not going to stay good into the PLAYOFFS
THIS WILL LET KOBE KNOW THAT HE NEEDS TO SHINE BETTER. And teams will give much to get this guy!!

Whoa!
Gasol an Okay player?
I dont think so, and neither does Kobe (im guessing). He knows that the Lakers are title contenders this season, and therefore would not want to leave the scene. The LA Lakers are too good right now for Kobe to depart from this team. It is scary thinking how good Bynum can be in the near future, not to mention how good he is now. Lakers are 5-1 since Gasol was acquired via trade. Man I could go on forever but..........

KOBE WILL NOT LEAVE THE LAKERS NEXT SEASON!

oNE CHANGE not enough ( Gasol not that good to change a team around)

Lucky 5-1 run just watch
KOBE WILL LEAVE, THIS YEAR WAS A WARNING WITH THE SCARE!

Gasol is good enough.

Exactly!

February 11, 2008  06:04 PM ET

Thing is, The lakers SUCK

February 11, 2008  06:05 PM ET

Yeah maybe he can go to a team without a supporting cast in a small market, thats the ticket. If I were him I would want to leave a 20 year old beast of a center. That's like cheating on Jessica alba. Of course kobe did cheat on his fine wife, so who knows how that brain of his thinks.

La was his dream and they have started to build around him. I personal don't think he deserves all the good things that are happening to him after what he pulled, calling out a 19 year old(like kobe was any better at 19), MJ would have embraced a kid that physically talented(hell he had wennington, pedue and cartwright). No kobe had to cry like a baby, I wish they would have made that trade or traded him. But he is in heaven with that crew now.

best team in the west yeah right

February 11, 2008  06:09 PM ET

If you had made this a week ago I may have agreed. Now that he has possibly the best frontcourt in the NBA (and none of those players are the best player on the team), it is stupid to think he is leaving. He finally got what he wanted in LA: help. This team will be a perennial title contender as long as they keep the core together.

They are a fluke allright

first argument from wade is maybe one of the worst opening arguments i have ever read.

February 11, 2008  09:15 PM ET

I have no words for this. WADE is just well I can't describe the level of idiocy. It's unknown to mankind. I am at a loss for further words.
