Should Mello Recieve as much Heat as LeBron did for wearing a Yankees Cap?

Situation(This is real, so I'm not making this up): Mello was spotted last night wearing a Yankees baseball hat. Recieved no heat at all from anyone. Yet, when LeBron was spotted with this accesorie, he recieved so much heat he could have burned and died! There was even an article in ESPN The Magazine about it!

My answer to this: No, Mello should not recieve as much heat as LeBron did. I know, we're supposed to treat everyone fairly, but I will explain why I think Mello shouldn't recive as much heat in my second argument.

If your not supposed to be for a NEW YORK team than don't wear a cap supporting them.

Okay. I say no because of three reasons, now follow me closely:

1. The state he lives in, Colorado, their basball team, The Rockies, lost to the Yankees' rival, the Red Sox, in the World Series. Therefore they share something: the hating of the Red Sox!

2. Mello's from New York! Born in Brooklyn!

3. LeBron wore it before a Yankees-Indians Playoff game. Cleveland- The Indians home town. Cleveland- Where LeBron plays!

For those reasons, I think that LeBron rightfully recieved more heat.

Okay, I'm just sating that Mello grew up in New York, it wasn't before any sporting event vs. New York.

But LeBron grew up in Ohio, and he wore the cap before a Yankees-Indians game.

Play-off game, no less.

That's all I have to say since he forfeited the argument.

Dude, dwade, you completely left out the situation of WHY people were so mad at LeBron. There is a huge difference. He wore it IN Cleveland to a game between the Tribe and the Yankees in the playoffs.

Carmelo was born in New York, played college ball in N.Y. and was a big Knicks fan growing up, He also roots for the Ravens since he grew up in Baltimore. Unlike Lebron, he actually roots for his hometown teams. He didn't go on national TV acting like a bandwagon idiot in front of millions of viewers. That's why Carmelo didn't get as much heat as Lebron.

If Lebron would of been wearing a yankee hat anywhere else it would of been a non-issue.

No Melo does not deserve the heat. LeBron wore a Yankee hat at a Yankee/Cleveland playoff game. For a hometown guy to be supporting the other team was wrong. Melo has no interest in the Yanks. He wasn't at a Yank/Rockie game. He was wearing the hat for fashion as we all do.

For example I'm a Met fan but I got hats from the Reds, Pirates, and believe it or not a tan Yankee hat. It means nothing.

LBJ got slammed for wearing a Yanks cap to an Indians game. Its a different situation, regardless of whether or not he has been a Yankees fan all his life.

Who cares?! Baseball sux anyways. Lebron took heat because it was in the playoffs, and the Indians were playing the Yankees. If it was during the regular season, and they weren't playing, no on would care. I don't care now.
