Adam Vinitieri is the best kicker in the NFL right now.

Adam vinitieri is the best kicker in the league right now. He has power and acuracy in his kicks. He was pretty much the reason the Colts made it to the superbowl last year. I think he got 5 feild goals in one of the playoff games and that is why they won. He is very skilled and consistant and that is why I think that he is the best kicker in the NFL right now.


I agree with you to a point. He is a very good kicker but people forget that the man he unseated as Colts kicker (Mike Vanderjagt) was then and still is the most accurate kicker in NFL history and also there are some kickers that are better than Vinatieri. Olindo Mare, Jason Elam and David Akers come to mind


Actually vinitieri only hit 72% of his fieldgoals last year taking him out of the picture. And the team has nothing to do with how good the kicker is. I think akers would be the second best but vinitieri is the most consistant and i would trust vinitieri to make a field goal more than any other kicker in the NFL. Mare and elam are both good but they are both getting older and more inconsistant, they were both probably as good as vinitieri in their careers but now that they are out of their prime vinitieri is the best kicker in the NFL.


i disagree with you on that point in the respect that the team has partly to do with the kicker because if it isnt for the team the kicker isn't going anywhere. Also if he only hit 72% of his field goals he wasn't that great last season so therefore your argument does not hold water.


The kicker doesn't have to go anywhere all that he has to do is kick the ball and make sure it goes through the uprights. If the team sucks and cant get touchdowns that just gives the kicker more kicks so he has a better chance of succeeding. take Neil Rackers, he is on one of the worst teams and he is one of the best kickers. Or jeff wilkins, he isnt on that bad of a team but the rams still arent that great.


yeah but that still doesn't explain your argument if Vinatieri is only hitting 72% of his kicks obviously he's not the best kicker in the NFL that only makes him a very good kicker not a great one therefore the argument does not hold water.

Vanderjagt has lost his swagger and confidence. He is not the same kicker he was two years ago. Vinatieri is the best kicker hands down.

Olino Mare is too inaccurate to be considered one of the best. Jason Elam, though, is a very good kicker, but Adam Vinatieri is sooo much better. Akers is another excellent, but again not as good as Vinatieri.
