Good pick but A-ROD is the better batter.He is the best power hitter in hes time and will be the best power hitter in baseball history.I am a big YANKEE fan and a big Jeter fan but A-Rod is better.

A-rod is a great power hitter but he can't hit the ball most of the time when he does yeah it is a great hit but only if he hits it. Look at this:
A-rod 120 SO .314 AVG
Jeter 100 SO .322 AVG
Also if you don't believe me then look at the world series last year he played awful just horrible. I'm a Yankees fan to and to see what he did was disgusting and I was ashamed. A-rod maybe a better slugger but not a better hitter.

First of all the YANKEES did not make it to the world series and if you were watching the PLAYOFFS A-ROD did not do bad at all. Hate to say it but Jeter did not do good during the playoffs "the bugs did not heip us either".I am a big YANKEES fan and a huge Jeter fan but A-ROD is a better batter.

A-ROD has 20 more SO then Jeter yes but A-ROD had 42 more home runs then Jeter and A-ROD has a better ON BASE PERCENTAGE then Jeter and he had 85 more RBIs than Jeter.Like I said A-ROD is a better batter.

During the Playoffs A-rod had:
1 RBI, 1 HR, 4 H, 2 R ,6 SO ,15 AB
Pluss Derek Jeter is way better in the clutch. Jeter is a better hitter than A-rod. Look at the stats he had 15 AB and 6 SO he had over one third of his bats SO thats bad to me and should be to you. As I said Jeter is a better batter.

Report Offensive CommentThe whole "A-Rod sucks in the playoffs" thing is overblown. He's had some terrible post-seasons, but it's not all bad.
He's played 8 series.
Hit better than .300 in 4 of them.
Hit better than .400 in 2 of them.
Has at least 1 HR in 5 of them.
Meanwhile, he's much better than Jeter overall.

Completely rediculous argument. Were it not for ARod, the Yankees would not have even BEEN in the playoffs.
Also, check out these lines from last years postseason:
ARod: .267AVE - .353OBP - .467SLG
Jeter: .176AVE - .176OBP - .176SLG
Over the past seven years, Jeter has had one season where he was more productive offensively.

Report Offensive CommentAlthough statistically A-Rod looks better, and Jeter had a "not-so-good" playoff performance last year, historically, Jeter has not only performed better than A-Rod in post-season play but h's proven to be reliable in the clutch, on both offense and defense. But, since we're talking hitting, I gotta go with Jeter...

Whether you did go for an easy win or not, I don't know. Further, it wouldn't matter at all to me if you did. My point was that to anyone that has any real knowledge, this is, in no way, a debate. The answer is just Arod. Period. It's not even close. However, there are people voting that apparently have no idea what being a better hitter means and you end up losing. That's why I won't TD. You can be absolutely right, which you are, and still lose because it's based on other people's ideas and those ideas often suck.
