There are several teams that you can put up a good argument saying they shouldn't be in the Big East. You may base your opinion of the size of the school, its rep,the geography,or its sucess in Sports.

If one team were to be kicked out of the Big East in basketball,I would pick,USF.

Good luck AE

USF has proved to be a good pick in football for the conference, and therefore, for basketball we could give 'em time. They just got a D-1 basketball team. Look at PSU. Their basketball team stinks but would that ever get them kicked out of the Big Ten? And personally, I believe that a conference should have the same teams in football and basketball. And that puts St. John's out on a limb. St. John's is getting worse and worse (thx irishR#1). And ND? Well they would be in the same boat but they are actually pretty decent in basketball. So when it comes down to those two, and I can only pick one, I'm going with St. John's. And St. Johns really hasn't much else to contribute to Big East sports. And again neither does ND, but the difference is ND is better in basketball giving them the tiebreaker.

Good luck Cincy, and thank God PITCHERS AND CATCHERS REPORT!!!
(I'm tired of hearing of Clemens and McNamee.)

They are good in Football,I'll give you that.but The real point is who should be thrown out in Basketball.Just like Notre Dame shouldn't be in the conference because of geography.

USF has had a pretty bad team in Basketball, and Geographically it makes no sense.I mean even though it is the big east, all the teams are in the North East,(Except Marquette but they are succesful)and South Florida.South Florida is like,1000 miles south of the nearest school in the big east.Geographically it's stupid.

People might forget the great St.Johns teams of the late 80's and early 90's that helps them stay in the Big East.

St.Johns is a good pick as well as several other teams could be good ones but all around USF just doesn't belong in the Big East in Basketball.

Good arguments. The hole there is USF is a staple in that conference now for many reasons. And St. John's size just doesn't match up in the Big East. I don't know about you, well actually maybe I do, but St. John's vs USF, I think I'm taking USF (as in the more attractive school if I had to pick the last team to make the Big East cut). It's pretty simple.

Well because of the geographic mess and the bad basketball team at USF i would have to go with USF being kicked out. They wouldn't have to be kicked out in Football, just basketball. And since they just got into D-1 B-Ball,why in the world did they go to the Big East and the competition it presents?I guess they're making good money in Football.I mean pick a less hard conference.A conference they can play with on their level.

USF should be kicked out of the Big East in basketball, more so than St.Johns

Yeah but St. John's has no benefit to the Big East NOW in basketball or in any other sport for that matter. USF would definitely get better, while St. John's just doesn't have the size to compete with USF on a larger scale if you are comparing universities. And as long as USF is contributing in football at least, while St. John's is doing nothing in any sport of importance, I'm going with USF over St. John's meaning KICK ST. JOHN'S OUT!

I would go with St. Johns. USF just got a D-1 team. Give them time. St. Johns is getting worse and worse. Free up a space to get Butler or SIU.
