They will be last in there division no all stars either then Dipietro not that hes bad but lets look at the goalies in the division the islanders have to vs all these goalies 8 times a year.
New Jersey: Broduer/ Weekes
Phillie: Brion/ Nittymaki
Rangers: Lundsqvist/ Valliaquette
Pens: Conklin/ Sabourin
thats my opening statement.

Try using periods when you finish sentences.
First of all the amount of all-stars you have on your team doesn't mean anything. Just because the Islanders dont have any doesn't mean they'll be in last place. That just means they don't have any studs on their team.
Secondly, the Atlantic is the 2nd closest division in the league. 10 points seperate last place Islanders from your 1st place NJ Devils, so nothing is guarenteed in that division. They still have half a season to make a move towards the top, and chances are they could easily move ahead of somebody.
DiPierto was on the Allstar team
Plus-the Devils had no allstars. They're tied for first place. The Flyers and in 4th and they had two all stars (Richards and Timonen) Shows how All-Stars really dont mean anything.

Last time i checked broduer was in the all-star game but he skipped it he was the starter for one.
Lets see the top three point scorers on all teams in atlantic combined.
Devils: Parise, Elias, Gionta= 130 points
Flyers: Richards, Briere, Umberger= 161 points
Rangers: Gomez, Jagr, Drury= 149 points
Pens: Malkin, Crosby, Gonchar= 190 points
last and least
Islanders: Comrie, Satan, Guerin 109 points.
They are four points behind the flyers who have been playing bas as of late but the islanders arn't playing any better.
In that division they have the least goals for and the most goals against. They have played like garbage thats why they are not in the playoffs and thats why they will be last in the division.

That stat you just gave is irrelevant. The Islanders have the least amount of points between their top 3 scorers and they're in last place in the division, but the Devils had the 2nd least and they're tied for first. Obviously that stat doesn't account for much.
Also, the Rangers and Flyers have been playing almost as bad as the Islanders have. Pittsburg and the Devils are only 10 points ahead, so none of them are really playing stellar hockey right now. Just mediocre or slightly above mediocre. Who's to say that the Islanders can't make up a 4 point deficit with half a season remaining? The Division could end up in a totally different way at the end of the season for all we know. With such a close race on our hands it defidently could be.
Unless you point out some real evidence to show that Islanders will stay in that spot until playoff time comes around, I don't see how you can say they will. Unless you're just speculating, of course. Then again, speculating doesn't get you far in a TD, does it?
My point is that the Islanders could easily end up last in the Atlantic, but they could also end up in 3rd place just as easily. It's too close of a race to call.

yea ok you want a point you got one. Goals Against.
Devils: 142
Rangers: 149
Flyers: 171
Pens: 159
Islanders: 172
Thats why the Devils are in first and the Islanders yes you said who needs goals for right ex(Devils) but when you look at goals against they have least goals against. But when you look at the Islanders and see 172 goals against and even less goals for then the Devils your lookin at a non playoff team. Unless they trade for a star and start playing some great hockey they are toast whitch is unlikly to happen seeing as they are probaly going to sell at the trade deadline.

Well I know they're not a non-playoff team. I never said they were. Islanders in the playoffs? haha.
You brought up a good point saying that they won't improve unless they bring in a star player or something like that, but both that and your stats just helped my arguement in saying that the division is so close that its wayyyyy to early to say that any one of these teams is going to win or lose the division. 10 point difference is just too close. Plus if the Islanders did pick up a good player they could improve, thus proving my point saying that you can't label them as last place in the division until the end of the season.
You can NEVER say halfway through a season whos going to win and whos going to lose a division, because a lotta things can change in the course of half a season. You could maybe say if it's obvious who will win, but in such a close race, its foolish to say what the standings will look like in a few months from now with any form of certainty.
Good TD.

I honestly think the Islanders are going to be a seller (if anything) at the trade deadline....you both made decent arguments based on the material at hand.... but I voted left.
No more Islanders throwdowns...the Islanders "fans" don't care about them either...so why should we?
