How can you not agree. He is basically he face of the NBA.
CP3 *HoF* said 02/19, 04:40 PM
My pick is going to be LeBron James....
First of all i won't hold this agaisnt you but who is Kobey Bryant (its K-O-B-E) Secondally no one is "Hands Down" the best player in the NBA but i think the closest to that is LeBron and here's why.
-Everyone loves LeBron (or almost everyone) Kobe is either: You love him or you hate him. Just like A-Rod in baseball. Kobe also only won championships with the help of Shaq. He has proven that without a great team, he cant get anywhere. LeBron on the other hand, with not much of a team got how far last year? Point Proven.
Also if your going to say he's the best player in the NBA heres people with better stats which include LeBron James:
LeBron: PPG 30.3-----RPG 7.8-----APG 7.3
compared to,
Bryant: PPG 28.0-----RPG 6.1-----APG 5.3
Even some of these players have stats just as good or close to Kobe's
C. Mello: PPG 26.2------RPG 7.3-----APG 3.3
and teamate.
A. Iverson: PPG 26.5-----RPG 3.0-----APG 7.3
(relize im not saying these guys are better, im saying there stats are better or close to better)
Good Luck, and hopefully your argument will be more than 60 characters next time.

You want to talk stats well then lets talk stats. While James is having a better season then Kobe lets look at James career stats compared to Bryant's. I'm going to compare them from James's second season to now since it wouldn't be far to judge James as a rookie.
04-05
Lebron James-ppg-27.2 apg-7.2 FT%-75% 3p%-35%
Kobe Bryant-ppg-27.6 apg-6.0 FT%-82% 3p%-35%
05-06
Lebron James-ppg-31.4 apg-6.6 FT%-74% 3p%-34%
Kobe Bryant-ppg-35.4 apg-4.8 FT%-85% 3p%-35%
06-07
Lebron James-ppg-27.3 apg-6.0 FT%-70% 3p%-32%
Kobe Bryant-ppg-31.6 apg-5.5 FT%-87% 3p%-35%
07-08 (so far)
Lebron James-ppg-30.3 apg-7.3 FT%-71% 3p%-31%
Kobe Bryant-ppg-28.0 apg-5.3 FT%-85% 3p%-35%
As you can see this is the only season in which James is beating Kobe in any stat besides assists. Kobe scores more than James, has a better jump shot than James, and shoots around 15% higher than James on free-throws. So just because James is playing better than Kobe than HALF a season (not even one full season) that doesn't make him a better player. You also don't have to be an idiot when you say"Good Luck, and hopefully your argument will be more than 60 characters next time.

Wow do you know a couple thing's i find funny about your argument:
1.) you just listed a bunch of stats, no arguments, just stats.
2.) Ummm buddy you included FT%, 3P%, but you forgot FG%.? Hmmm... i wonder why, maybe becase Jame's has a better one EVERY YEAR. also he has way more rpg EVERY YEAR! if your going to include stats that include %'s make sure to include the most important one: FG% and RPG are just as important as APG so make sure to include them to.
3.) Kobe wins in PPG, but lebron is much better of an all around player. (beats Kobe in APG, RPG, FG%, SPG, and BPG) there scoring is almost the same but all the stats i just listed is what makes LeBron a better player.
Also just a little side not, when each teams play each other here are there avgs.
James: PPG 37.0-----APG 4.5-----RPG 9.5
Bryant: PPG 27.0-----APG 5.5-----RPG 8.5
Ill take 10 more points and 1 more rebound than 1 more assist, wouldnt you? Point Proven.

thank goodness you took this Ram cuz I was actually contemplating on arguing against my current favorite player. But this subject is definitely arguable and he is NOT the face of the NBA.

Report Offensive CommentLook, Jets623. This is basically as easy as easy wins get. However, I'm not going to pound you into the ground. You will lose this TD no matter who picks it up.
1. You have a one line argument. That's like instant death.
2. Anytime you state "Hands down" you are screwed. All anyone has to do is make a somewhat reasonable argument that it is close, and they'll win.
3. Someone being "the face of the NBA" (which is debateable) does not automatically make them the best.
4. You didn't even spell the name of the guy you are backing correctly!!!! It's Kobe. K-O-B-E.
I will bow out of this TD at 1: 45. At which time I suggest you delete it and try to put up a MUCH stronger argument. If you choose not to. someone else will take it, and slaughter you.
Guaranteed.

Report Offensive CommentThe face of the NBA could also go to LeBron James! Kobe is really good, but he is not hands down the best in the NBA. Can he win championships like Jordan used to? Nope, he needed Shaq's help last time he was winning championships! He isn't that good, although his stats are.

Report Offensive CommentWHAT?????? Are you guys serious???
Ask any NBA player, and even Lebron have repeadetly said Kobe is the best player on earth. It is a general consensus around the NBA, Kobe is the best. Listen to the interviews, watch them on youtube or nba.com and players always say he's the best. Lebron has been quoted numerous times saying that.
Forget them skewed stats, Lebron had one really good season (in regards to wins) and you fools automatically forget that Kobe got rings, is the anchor/captin-leader for the Olympic team, and is the most clutch and unstoppable player in the league.

Report Offensive CommentI think Kobe has more championships and has that killer mentality. James disappeared last year in the finals. But Cp3 bodied the kid. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Report Offensive CommentSure Kobe has more championships but he needed help from Shaq. LeBron made it to the finals last year with nothing, he was his team and had hardly no help.
