No Specific Order,
1. Kobe Bryant, Lakers
2. LeBron James, Cavs
3. Dwight Howard, Magic
Dawgee Fresh said 02/21, 11:37 AM
1. Tim Duncan-He has won tons of NBA Championships and is a great leader on a great team and makes everyone around him better. He helped Manu Ginobli and Tony Parker to be what they are now.
2. Kobe Bryant-He =has also won some championships and he can pass, despite what everyone says about him. He is one of the best pure scorers in the league.
3. Shaquille O'Neal-I think that Dwight Howard and LeBron James are still too young to be considered the best active players in the league, neither of them have won a championship, so I will go with the guy who has. Shaq is one of the best active centers in the league, lit alone one of the best centers of all time.
Young Gun said 02/21, 10:27 PM
I agree to some extent with your argument but the topic was "as of now who is the top three NBA players."
You said Shaq who once was a great center is now wayyy out of his prime.
Sure Tim Duncan is an awesome player and while playing good, arguably one of the best NBA players. But as of this year he isn't doing as good as lets say LeBron James or Dwight Howard.

Report Offensive CommentKobe, LeBron and Duncan. Have Duncan ahead of Howard until I see this finish a season strong, get in the playoffs and win. Duncan has proven he can win in a much harder Conference.

Report Offensive CommentIn a way, I think Dawgee is a victim of the vague nature of the TD. LeBRoN does say in the title "as of now" implying that current performance should be weighed most heavily, but "top basketball player" implies more to me than a season or two.

Report Offensive CommentYou could have found someone better than Howard, but Shaq is way past his prime. He's no longer one of the best. He's 3rd best on his current team.

Report Offensive CommentI will go with the common theme here....SHAQ? Are you kidding me?
1. Kobe
2. LeBron
3. Duncan
In that order, on an every game, individual performance. If we focus on team performance that benefits the most for the "best" player, then I have:
1. Duncan
2. LeBron
3. Kobe
