Wow...You put together a very, very impressive list. However, you have one GLARING hole on your team.....

Where the HECK IS Gino Marchetti??? He should make your squad before EITHER of the DE's you took.

10 PB's
11 AP's
NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team
NFL 1950s All-Decade Team
PB MVP
NFL ALL TIME TEAM
Madded All-Millennium Team (My Personal fav)

He played 13 years with the Colts

It really woulnt matter what kind of offense you had. Who your QB was, or who your RB was. There is little to no chance any team could score on this D. Ham, Lambert and Ray Lewis?? All Im missing is LT, Singletary and Bronko N. to have the LB god's of NFL history......

On my Defensive line alone there are...
27X Pber's
33X AP's
1 75th Anniversery Team
3X All Decade team members
2 DPOY

This is for my D line only.....

Also Henry Jordan was the 5th player inducted into the HOF....

Your team missing Singletary, LT, Nagurski and even Bednarik is immaterial to the TD since they're in the NFC.

Your team has a lot of great names that many will recognize. The All Decade designations, Pro Bowls, All Pro and POY are nifty. My team has 38 PB/All Stars, 19 All-Pro, 3X POY, 2 ROY, and 5 all decade. These are great things to have on a plaque on the wall since they're awarded by votes.

However, my team has speed, in addition to power. My players have a combined 148 sacks. That's of what's recorded in the NFL alone. My LB's and DB's are ball hawks with an official 159 INT's. That's not counting Norton's league career record INT's in the AFL.

Boyd alone returned 57 INT's for 994 yds + 4 TD's.

Norton took back his 45 INT's back for 592 yds + 1 TD.

Let's not forget about my HOF coach who won SB's with two different teams on top of the NFL highest win total 328-156-6.

I know those guys were not avalible to either one of us, but you see the point I was trying to make.....

Your team has 38 PB/All Stars, 19 All-Pro, 3X POY, 2 ROY, and 5 all decade.

My D line has
27X Pber's
33X AP's
1 75th Anniversery Team
3X All Decade team members
2 DPOY

My LBs have....
26 PB's
18 All Pro's
3 All Decade members
3 DPOY
2 75th anniversery team
1 SB MVP

I have not even begun to list the accolades of my secondary. Woodson may be the best 2 postion DB in the last 30 years. Mel Blount may be the Best DB to ever put on a Steelers uniform, and thats saying alot. I was pretty close to putting Carnell Lake on my list, but I dont know how that would have went over. But anyways, Great TD as always, and good luck

I like the list you've assembled.

You've pointed out that your group has accrued an alphabet soup of accolades.

But aside from the titles that your players have won from votes, There is little substantiation of any accomplishments these players have done on the field.

In your last argument you wrote Blount and Woodson are great DB's, but what did they do to be great?

On the other hand I have supplied my players awards as well as their accomplished statistics.

My defense touts agile and fearsome front 7 players who could sack, defend passes, and intercept the ball like a DB.

My secondary touts 2 modern DB's who are dual taclking and interception threats as well as the 2 throwback DB's who had over 100 INT and 1500 yds. They were the shutdown corners before the phrase was coined.

So in essence, you listed players and their aggregated number of titles. Yet you only mention one player being in the HOF. Surely Jordan isn't your only HOF member.

This is why my defense is bettter. Not on the merit of how many titles they were elected to, but because of the things they did on the field such as sacks, interceptions, and tackles, which is what defense is all about.

Joe Greene? I heard he was mean.

Did Oso decide to go 2nd on this?

Report Offensive Comment

McAlister over Deion Sanders? Hmm...

Report Offensive Comment

Chuck Noll is a great choice. Not only a great defensive mind, but also had a great eye for talent in the draft. The greatest draft in history-the one with 4 hall of famers in it. He single handedly created the 70s steelers.

Report Offensive Comment

I totally forgot that Deion came out of retierment to smear his legacy with the Ravens a few years back

Report Offensive Comment

He was pretty worthless by then. I admire you for not choosing the "quick and easy path". That leads to the dark side.

Report Offensive Comment

I heard Deion is down wit OPP

Report Offensive Comment

LOL @ Associated Press

Report Offensive Comment

I'm not sure this is even arguable. All the AFC South has are the Colts and Oilers/Titans. The Texans and Jaguars haven't really been around long enough to have any "greats."

Report Offensive Comment

dion sucks he's just fast no real football talent

Report Offensive Comment

I really hate those ??? when you C & P.

bodine51 | 02/21/08, 09:11 PM

No. Nine-Toe played a few years for the Ravens.

Joe Greene? I heard he was mean.

Porkins *NMI | 02/21/08, 02:49 PM

Hence why he played for the North Texas Mean Green.

Report Offensive Comment

No offense Goodell but I hate Ham.. actually, on St Paddy's day in a boiled dinner.. ahh but I digress

Report Offensive Comment

Oso gave it a go, but his team just can't compete with Goodell's.

Report Offensive Comment

I think they can compete. Give me a shot at the other 2 arguments. I might be surprising one more time.

Report Offensive Comment

Great TD Oso....

But you dont get those "votes" for PB's and AP's unless you deserve them

Goodell says, 350 and no HOF?? | 02/22/08, 05:26 PM

True. I just can't remember why they got those votes. :)

Awesome TD Goodell. May the best argument win.

Always good to face off vs. a throwdown Titan. Have a good weekend!
