Topic:
New England try to bring back Randy Moss?

Answer: Duh
Of Course they should try to bring him back! He is an AWESOME talent, and is not that old- and apparently NE is able to make him play like his did in the heyday of Minny, Brady has established a relationship with him that he accepts and he didn;t even go all TO on us during the playoffs when teams took him away and his numbers went to pot.

Moss is not going to be that expensive if he comes back to NE- and has made a ton of money already- what he needs is a ring and last SB aside the best chance to get a ring in the NFL is STILL New England.

Okay.

I'll take the choice I have to.

My answer: No.

Why? It seems that he will want a-lot of money, and if the Patriots want to keep everyone else, then they won't have that.

But you ask: who will they replace him with?

Easy. There wide receivers would be:

Wes Welker

Dante Stallworth

Jabaar Gaffney

And then they still have a legitimate TE in Ben Watson.

So they don't need him.

And, you say that he wants a ring. I say he wants money.

Yes, he said he wants to win and he dosen't want much money, yeah. But............................

People like Randy don't change in one year.

Last year, he couldn't even go an off-season without getting paid! He had to work at an ice cream parlor because he wanted more money!

So, Randy will again go to a team with more money.

It dosen't matter if they're good. He just wants more money.

I've shared my two cents.

Now it's your turn again.

Randy Moss has already notified he will not be franchised - and Moss has said that Cash is not his top priority as a Free Agent

All Cash being equal- is there a better place to play in the NFL other than New England?

Brady has had Moss ONE year- same as Wes, and had to most people a pretty decent year.

Moss has gone through 3 teams what 7 Qbs and umpteen coaches all trying to motivate him- and the last time he was THIS successful was in Minny with Daunte and Denny.

Notice those two STILL don;t have rings as a QB1 and HC.

But in THIS situation he has a HC and a QB1 with MULTIPLE rings on thier fingers- and nearly got another one this year

Are you really going to replace him with Stallworth? Who was replaced by a 7th rounder in New Olreans and dropped by Philly? and Jabar (one A there) Gaffney - who is also on his 3rd team and has 13 total TDs in SIX years?

How much money in endorsements do you think Moss can get if he keeps his nose clean - If he stays out of the Police Blotter how many shoes is he gonna move? Under Armor etc? More than enough to make up for any cash diff that another team can give him

and they can't give him a better chance at a ring

Wes had a DECENT year?

He had an amazing year! He led the league in receptions!

Oh, and he tied the record for receptions in the Super Bowl.

That's much more than decent.

Oh yeah- and the reason Jabar had 13 touchdowns in 6 years is because he was hardly ever thrown to! he would have more if he were thrown to more.

I know that Randy will make more money off endorsments- but he dosen't have to be in New England to get those endorsements- he could be anywhere.

And yes, he did say that he wanted to win, but, like I said, can you really trust him? No.

We all know he wants money more than wins.

Money makes the world go 'round, and Randy wants to be the man with all the green.

Okay.

Your turn.

I was hoping you'd catch the sarcasm.

:-)

Jabar was the 33rd overall pick-

Those people are kinda known for getting on the feild-
unless they stink.

and unless I missed something on my NFL memories, the Texans have not exactly had HOF at the wideout position since 2002- Its not like he got drafted by the 84 Niners and was looking at Rice and Taylor on the depth chart.

plus he was also CUT by Philly- how hard should it be for a wideout to crack THAT rotation?

Moss is like Rodman- strong leaders (Brady, Jordan, Dumars) make him work weak leaders (Raiders, Robinson) make him goofy.

Oh well. They still have three other legitimate receivers:

Wes Welker

Dante Stallworth

Benjamin Watson

They still don't need Randy horribly.

They don't have the green to even try- they'll just get rejected.

I don't really have anything else to say.

Just: Happy voting!

Thanks for reading!

Smackem - what would having a topic in the title really accomplish. all it does it make it easier to see what the TD is about before clicking on it. It is not a requirement. NC did put the topic in his 1st argument which is fine.

I would say DEFINITELY resign him, IF you can. Moss was the MVP of that team. And yes, I know Brady is the quarterback who won the award, but he didn't deserve it in my opinion. The two highest scoring offenses in NFL history: The Vikings and the Patriots. BOTH of which had Randy Moss as their receiver. And both had records of 15-1 and 16-0 respectively.

But let's not get carried away and say New England is his best chance of winning. If Jerry Jones wanted to put up some more T.0. money, he could have Randy. And THAT would be ridiculous. Romo would have 51 TD's. All he would have to do is close his eyes and throw it to the end zone somewhere.

I know. Wishful thinking. I can dream.

That would work great until TO shanks Moss in the shower for stealing his thunder.

February 27, 2008  11:37 AM ET

LOL! He wouldn't have to. They both would have about 20 TD's a piece. But that's still funny.

February 27, 2008  12:17 PM ET

Come on, TO and Moss on the same team? The only way that could be topped is if they signed Keyshawn Johnson as their slot receiver, and signed Dennis Rodman to be the backup TE. With that group I can guarantee someone would be murdered/OD/die from an STD by week 7.

The Patriots obviously should bring back Randy Moss. I'm going to have to vote to David because of better arguments.

February 27, 2008  01:20 PM ET

Hmm. They should TRY to bring him back. This TD is carefully worded...

Even so I can't vote against NC based on arguments.

February 27, 2008  01:21 PM ET

Still, TO and Moss would be uncoverable (I'm pretty sure I just made up that word) and would deliverable a championship.

February 27, 2008  03:28 PM ET

The pats will try,but there to cheap to sign him
