Pistons and Pacers brawl, all pistons' fans fault

It???s hard to blame anyone but Detroit???s fans. Yeah, I know Ron Artest will get blamed for the whole thing because nobody likes the guy, but look at what actually transpired. Ron Artest fouls Ben Wallace hard. Wallace shoves Artest. Artest walks away! Artest has had a few flagrant fouls in the past, so you know that the Pistons were trying to entice him into a fight. Then, Artest backs all the way up to the scorers table and lays down (I don???t get that, but he did it) and while laying down, a fan throws a cup at him and hits him. Artest takes off after the fan and the rest is history, so to speak. No, I don???t condone what Artest did, but I can understand. If you???re going to throw stuff at people, be prepared to defend your actions. Just because you???re a fan (and a stupid one, at that) does not shield you from consequences. I don???t agree with the commissioner???s indefinate suspensions of O???Neal and Jackson. They went in to get their teammate out of trouble and got cheapshotted over and over from drunk fans. Maybe he???s just waiting to watch the footage, but I???d bet they get as big of a suspension as Artest.

First of all, you admit yourself in the opening arguement that it wasn't all the piston's fault by saying "Artest fouls Wallace hard" which begins the altercation, the Pistons escalate it by "Wallace shoving Artest" and "the Pistons were trying to entice him into a fight", and the fans get into it by saying "a fan throws a cup at him and hits him."

So basically you just said that all three, that is, the Pistons, Ron Artest, and the moron who threw the cup, all played a big part in the fight and did their share of enticing.

Plus the rest of the Pacers team also got into it, even when really they should have let the refs/police/security take care of it. All they did was make it worse.

Its not just the Piston's fault. If it was all the Piston's fault, then how is it their fault the fan threw the cup at Artest, or that Artest ran into the stands, or that Pacers players followed him up there?

Have you ever seen a player lie on the scorers table. He was acting as if the call was stupid and it didnt matter. He was acting like the cockiest player to ever touch a basketball (and i can think of better players then Artest... MJ, and they werent like that). Artest got what was coming to him, thats why the fan threw the beer.

Doesnt make it right or wrong, but it happened because he is such a punk.
