All of the division winning teams I listed are championship caliber. And the wild card winners are very good too. ill explain more in my second argument

when did free agency end? Who did Moss and the rest of the FA's go to?

Who did the Browns, Steelers, Chargers etc draft? I must have missed something there.

Why don't you wait until we know what the teams are going to look like going into next season?

I can speak for the Steelers though...they lost Faneca and have a ridiculously tough schedule (Colts, Pats, Chargers, Browns twice, Giants, Cowboys, Jaguars, Titans - all playoff teams last year or teams you listed as playoff teams this year)...as much as this pains me to say, I don't think the Steelers will do better than 9 wins. The Browns have a tough schedule as well so there is almost no chance that a wild card team comes out of the AFC North....

but like I said wait until free agency is over and the teams are set

the pats, even without moss, stallworth, or samuel, will still win their division, cause the jets, bills, and the dolphins are all rebuilding. The chargers are the best in the afc west and the jaguars are on the uprise
the steelers are too good to let the browns win and the ravens and the bengals are in a pitfall

Yea, the Patriots are in a joke of a division, but teams come out of nowhere to surprise every year.

I mean look at the Cleveland Browns. They doubled their wins and almost made the playoffs - how many people saw that coming?

So even though the Patriots are in an apparent easy division in 2007, who knows what the division will look like in 2008? The Tuna is creating a team in Miami, the Jets have been active in Free Agency, and the Bills will have 1 more year of experience at their skill positions - so no division is a lock.

The Colts are still a better team than the Jaguars and don't look for Fred Taylor to play the same way as he did last year. The Jags have been active in FA but the Colts still have Peyton.

How are the Steelers too good? Their lineman play was awful this last year and they havent made any improvements yet (again, you can't assume who they will draft or sign - but they have lost their best lineman already)

The Browns have made moves in free agency to better their team so as of today, their roster looks more like the division winner than the Steelers.

okay, change that browns win their division and I'll offer a draw.

we still don't agree...i think that only 1 team out of the AFC North will get into the playoffs. I think the second wild card will be a team no one saw coming....such as the Bills or Texans.

But as I said, this will all change when free agency and the draft ends. Until then, my guess is as good as anyones, but based on what has happened so far:

Chargers
Colts
Browns
Pats are division winners

Jaguars
and Texans/Bills for the wild cards

and i know...cherry was just picked

Yea - the Steelers have a shocking schedule - strength of schedule doesn't mean much - but the Steelers better hope some of the teams they're facing this year aren't as good as last year

And I can't believe LTalldaybaby doesn't think the Colts will win the South...

yea, i was gonna hit on that next argument if he actually made a second one

why do you do this then Duquesne, if you thik its too early to do a throwdown like this then dont accept it

March 2, 2008  10:45 AM ET

I think the Jags are a bit of a stretch to beat out the colts but maybe...

March 2, 2008  11:07 AM ET

because i know he is wrong about steelers/browns both makin it and the colts not winning division

March 2, 2008  11:35 AM ET

i can see the browns since the shored up with two DT's and the Offense with Donte Stallworth

March 2, 2008  03:57 PM ET

the jags are really strong, beat the chargers, the steelers, and almost the pats. This is their year. indys going nowhere

"i can see the browns since the shored up with two DT's and the Offense with Donte Stallworth"

Technically Stallworth doesn't matter at all. He'll be catching balls behind Edwards, Jurevicius, and Winslow.

And technically they got a DT and a DE. They played a 3-4 ;)
