I belive the Nets will make the playoffs. The Nets are 3-2 without Jason Kidd. In his Nets Debut Devon Harris looked awfully good with his 21 points. The Nets are 8th right now in the East. Obviously if the playoffs started today they would be in. The newly aquired DeSagana Diop has been doing a nice job off the bench. Marcus Williams has been playing very good now that he is starting. This last game against Milwaukee he had 11 points and 8 ast. Him and Harris played with each other well last game. If the Nets can play like they did against Milwaukee I think they will be in.

Jason Kidd is the guy who made te Nets go. This may be just a short, nice little record but without their annual triple-double candidate, the Nets don't have a very good chance ofmaking the post-season.

"If the Nets can play like they did agains Nilwaukee I think they can win."

Milwaukee is one of the worser teams in the league and the competition is going to get a whole lot tougher: Toronto, Philidelphia, Orlando, Boston, Detroit . . .

Long list, small talent. Vince Carter has been playing waaaaay under skill level all season and it won't be long until Richard Jefferson gets injured again. Devin Harris had one good game but has never been a leader of a team.

There are already 8 good playoff-worthy teams in the East:

Detroit Pistons
Boston Celtics
Orlando Magic
Cleveland Caviliers
Toronto Raptors
Washington Wizards
Philidelphia 76ers
Atlanta Hawks

And more, not in that order.

So where is there room for the Nets?

I dont know how you can predict Richard Jefferson getting hurt. He is in very good shape this year. Devin Harris hasn't just had one good game. He is averaging 15 ppg this year. As far as being a leader he dosen't have to be. Jefferson and Carter are the leaders. There are 9 good playoff worthy teams in the East. The Hawks would be the 9th. They are only 3-7 in their last 10. Atlanta has a terrible road record 7-22. The only time they play the Nets the rest of the year is on the road at the IZOD center.

Richard Jefferson has been an injury prone since as long as he has been in New Jersey. There will probably be good chances that he will get injured again.

Devin Harris has averaged 15 points per game, which is not excactly great. And like I said, Jefferson might get injured and Carter is playing under skill level. Some one else has to step up and that burden will have to fall on Harris.

The Hawks have a great lineup and they have Mike Bibby, a fabulous leader and playmaker. Atlanta has been shaky but they still have better talent and are younger to beat the Nets down the stretch.

They play one game on the road against the Nets, big whoop. New Jersey is 15-17 at home.

Forfeited Turn

okay . . .

Like I said, Devin Harris is not a great player . . .

Richard Jefferson might get injured . . .

Vince Carter is not that good . . .

And not really much to say if you don't argue . . .

Vince Carter has already mailed in the season. Richard Jefferson was a product of Kidd being the HoF PG that he is. They have a nice foundation to build from, but I think the playoffs are still a ways away for them.

They dont have a great team, but they are in the East and if the season ended today they would be the 8th seed. 2 games ahead of Bulls and Pacers and 1 game ahead of the Hawks. So to say they will make it is not a stretch. The Hawks are so young and inconsistent. It's just sad that a few really bad teams from the East will make the playoffs and some really good teams in the West will miss out.
