Sidney Rice won't have as good a season as Bernard Berrian will in 2008.

You're a fool to argue this...but I know someone will...

First off, let me say that I agree with you, and I'm sure every person on Fannation does as well.

I'm just taking this TD for a challenge.

To the untrained eye, Berrian is obviously better. He had more receptions, yards, TD, and a higher average than Sidney Rice did last year.

One stat that caught my eye, however, was that Berrian had 40 more receptions than Rice and played in 3 more games, but only has one more touchdown than Rice did (Berian had 5, Rice had 4)

Now keep in mind that last year was Rice's rookie season. Sometimes it takes a while for rookies to get into a groove before they turn into big playmakers. Berrian himself had a crappy rookie season where he only caught for 225 yards and two TD's in 16 games. Sometimes players don't emerge until their 2nd or 3rd season. Look throughout history and you'll see a handful of guys just like that (Joe Montana, Walter Payton, Johnny Unitas just to name a few)

Now I'm not saying he's a future Hall of Famer, but it's certainly possible.

He's got the size and speed to be very successful in the NFL.

If you wanna win this TD you should step up your arguement by the way...

Ohh, I got lots more, but if you agree with me...what's the point?

I win, you lose.

You agree with me!

Why are we arguing?

Wow your seriously going to lose this TD... I have to say I'm shocked.

I already told you why I was arguing this. For a challenge.

Now you obviously can't even argue the easy pick. What does that say? That you don't know how to debate things?

haha wow

Berrian is a deep threat, Rice is not.

Berrian is more physical than Rice (they both aren't very physical at all, actually)

Berrian has something to prove to Chicago, and other teams that passed on him.

Rice is still young, and may be the second youngest in the camp next year.

Berrian will produce more than Rice because he is going to be the number one option, and Jackson will chuck him the ball more.

And Berrian will be open more, because his route running is improving more and more every year.

Waited til the 3rd arguement to actually argue for a come from behind victory? nice...

Berrian will get the ball more if Rice doesn't improve at all, but I think some major improvements will be there. Not everybody turns out to be a stud their rookie year like Adrian Peterson does. Some players need more time to develop.

Once Rice develops some more, his routes, knowledge for the offense, and overall skill will improve greatly. Just because he didn't have a spectacular rookie season doesn't mean he'll never be good.

Both will improve from last season.

Just because Chicago didn't sign him doesn't mean he'll play better. Maybe in the games against the Bears he'll try a little bit harder, but that really doesn't mean much.

And just because Rice is young doesn't mean he wont be good. How is the fact that he's young a disadvantage to him?

Plus Rice is also a pretty deep threat. He averaged 12.8 yards per catch and had a long of 60 yards last season. Berrian averaged 13.4 yards per catch and had a long of 59 yards. So really they're pretty close.

Berrian just had more catches, which means more yards. If Rice gets more receptions he'll do much better.

I just took this to say something:

It's obvious he won't be... why would you even argue this?

lookin for an easy win?

he argued better and more.

Berrian is a one trick pony and doesn't have good hands. Rice has more potential.

They also didn't draft Sidney where they did to not be a better player than Berrian.
