LSU's baseball team should be ranked in the top 25

LSU has a better record than many teams currently in the top 25. They also have a better team batting average, power numbers, and era than some ranked teams.


I smell homer...

Look at their schedule. Indiana is the only almost decent team on their schedule so far and they barely beat them, winning two and losing one with two games being decided by 1 run.

After that they played Duquesne and Michigan St and crushed both easily for the most part.

They're 9-1 and haven't played anybody yet. Why should they be ranked?

OK like I said before, they haven't really done anything to prove themselves as a worthy team yet.

They're numbers are really high, but once again, they've played well against some really crappy teams. They haven't shown that they can match up with the big boys yet. If they thrash those teams, then I'd say they should defidently be in the Top 25.

But what you're saying doesn't make sense.

If you put LSU in the top 25 thats like saying "Anyone who beats Southern, Mississippi St, Indiana, Duquesne or any other really crappy team deserves to be in the Top 25.

Can't put everyone in there.

Gotta wait until LSU actually matches up against talented teams and beat them. But now, no way should they be ranked.


even though they have played some bad teams, other teams have schedules that are just about the same...lsu is 2-0 this weekend against a decent stetson team.


Ok got any stats for me? What other teams have schedules are the same? Or did you just not know who and just throw that out there? As far as I know that's what happened.

Let's review:
1) You think they should be in the Top 25 because they've trashed some pretty god awful teams.
2) LSU hasn't proven they can play well against good teams
3) You're counter-arguement was that they have similar schedules to other teams, but you didn't provide any examples.

Like I said before, maybe in a few weeks they're still dominating then I would conisder them to be a Top 25 team, but not now, when they haven't played any decent teams yet.

I am going to wait to vote until ALL arguments are in... but so far I would vote to the right w/Stauff. LSU needs to prove their worthiness... and having prospective players in the pipeline doesn't warrant a top-25 ranking NOW...

Ya I didn't even know until I saw this TD. It's only a handful of games into the season though. It started at the beginning of the month.
