Brady and Johnson

QB- Tom Brady
RB- Rudi Johnson
RB- Larry Johnson
WR- Chad Johnson
WR- Calvin Johnson
WR- Andre Johnson
TE- Kyle Brady
TE- Eric Johnson

I'll go with Johnson and Jones

QB-Tavaris Jackson
RB-Maurice Jones-Drew (Count him)
RB-Steven Jackson
RB-Kevin Jones
FB-Greg Jones
WR-James Jones
WR-Andre Johnson
WR-Vincent Jackson

Thanks for trying this TD even if it is so hard. You don't have any TE's so I will just leave those out. My FB is Jeremi Johnson by the way.

QB- Do I really have to argue this because Brady is the best or second best QB in the leauge. He threw for 50 touchdowns and only 8 int with a rating of 117.2. Jackson on the other hand threw 12 int and 9 td's with a rating of 70. I have the clear advantage here.

RB- Larry Johnson brs Jones Drew- While Larry may have had a bad year last year it was mostly because no help. Unlike Drew he didn't split carries or have a Pro Bowl QB behind him. Larry also only played in 8 games last year. In his last full year he ran for 1789 yards and last year Jones ran for 768 yards with a 4.6 YPC though. Last year Maurice had only 200 more yards in 8 more games.

Rudi vrs. Jackson- Since bot of them were injured last year I will compare their 2006 stats. Rudi ran for 1309 yards with 12 touchdowns while Jackson had 1509 yards and 13 touchdowns. Jackson has a slight edge here.

Chad vrs James Jones- Once again do I really even have to argue here. Chad had double the yards and 6 more touchdowns that Jones. I have the clear advantage here

Yeah. I was just happy to get someone for QB. You definitely win QB.

I would take Maurice Jones-Drew over Larry Johnson. MJD had more yards, more yards per carry, more rushing touchdowns, and more yards per catch. When Larry Johnson was healthy, he could do nothing. Maurice Jones-Drew had to play behind a Pro Bowler. Point MJD.

Rudi versus Steven. Steven gets the advantage. Even though he was injured this year he still had over 1000 rushing yards. Rudi Johnson just ruined my fantasy team.

Chad versus Jones. Yep. You're right. No one would argue James Jones over Chad Johnson.

Darrell Jackson and Vincent Jackson versus Andre Johnson and Calvin Johnson.

Jacksons-31 games, 87 receptions, 1120 receiving yards, 6 TDs.

Johnsons-24 games, 108 receptions, 1607 receiving yards, 12 TDs.

I'll give you the fact that you have better stats, but my question is which offense would you take. I think my offense could outscore your offense even with Brady. I'll explain on my next argument.

Last two years Larry has rushed for 2348 yards and twenty touchdowns whille Jones Drew has rushed for 1709 yards and 22 touchdowns. Jones Drew might not get as many carries but that doesn't matter in evaluating which one would you rather have on a team. Larry gets back to form and not injured and another 1700 yard season on the way.

I will give you Stephen even though that one is pretty close as well.

As for my Calvin and Andre against your Darrell and Vincent my guys outperformed yours by 500 yards and 6 touchdowns. Oh and they did this in 12 less starts than your guys since Andre only played in 9 games and Calving started only 10 while Darrel started 15 and Vincent 16. My guys outperformed yours by a lot in considerable less time.

I get a major edge in QB and WR while you get a slight edge if any at all at the RB. With all that I don't see how your offense would be better than mine since QB is so important. My QB had 50 TD's last year which is five times as many as Jacksons

My offense would outscore yours. No doubt in my mind. My team doesn't have the greatest quarterback, but we don't know what Jackson could do with real receivers. With my receivers, he has two good deep threats in James and Vincent. Darrell is another quality receiver who could mix it up. My running game would be able to pound out the clock. Steven Jackson is the best all-around back not named Tomlinson. Then I have Maurice Jones-Drew for a power back in goal line situations. Kevin Jones is a quality backup who is like a poor man's Jackson. He scored 8 touchdowns and had 32 catches.

Then I have what you don't. A great blocker. Greg Jones is one of the best blocking backs in the league. He has paved the way for one of the best running games in the league, and he can run the ball as well.

My offense would beat yours. Brady is a great QB and he would have good receivers, but what could he do without a running game assuming that the offensive lines we have are average? Rudi and LJ are flukes who had good year. Jackson, Jones, and MJD are all very good backs who can make big plays. My team would destroy you in big plays and we have the ability to slow down the game.

Football players don't play in the NL.

March 8, 2008  08:50 PM ET

KG, Does it have to be current players?

March 8, 2008  08:54 PM ET

current players and I meant NFL

March 8, 2008  08:56 PM ET

Hmm, too tired to do the research. I'll have to pass.

March 9, 2008  12:04 AM ET

Wow. I screwed up. Damn. Andre Johnson should be Darnell Jackson and it should say Jackson and Jones. I need some caffine. I'm half asleep. Ugh.

That's not a bad lineup Irish. This TD was pretty hard.
The best I came up with was:

QB Tavaris Jackson
RB Steven Jackson
RB DeAngelo Williams
WR Reggie Williams
WR Vincent Jackson
WR Roy Williams
WR Roydell Williams
TE Darius Williams

It was still not as good as KG's team though, or yours for that matter. Good luck to both of you.

KG fan is taking all my idea's... seriously look at all my "make a team" TDs and now hes doing the exact same thing but using for instance. NFL instead of NBA

March 9, 2008  02:48 PM ET

yeah so what CP3 did you copright it or something. I jst did it for harder leauges than you

Brady didn't have a rushing games as Larry and Rudi but still had amazing numbers last year so that scratches part of your last argument
