Ill start with the NBA since I defidently won't be able to fit all our differences into one arguement.
Paul v Bryant : Bryant is considered by most to be this year's MVP. He's the leader of the Lakers, first place in a very competitive Western Conference, and averages 28.1 PPG compared to Paul's 21.3
Iverson vs Wade: Iverson has more PPG, but Wade has a better shooting percentage and has a lower PPG because he averages 4 less minutes a game. Wade is more complete right now and has more rebounds as well.
Anthony vs Garnett: Anthony has the upper hand in PPG, but Garnett leads in RPG, APG, SPG, BPG, and FG%. Garnett plays on a better team and is considered to be one of the best players on the Celtics.
Stoudamire vs Nowitski: PPG, RPG and SPG are almost identical, but Nowistski has more APG and a higher FT% and 3pt%.
Nevermind. I guess I got room.
MLB
Morneau vs Pujos: Pujos probably has the upper hand, but Morneau had more RBIs (111 to 103) and only one less HR (31 to 32)
Rodriguez vs Wright: Wright has upper hand on O and D.
Wright= 196 H // .325 BA // 42 2B // .951 FP (73 more attempts, 8 more E)
Arod= 183 H// .314 BA // 31 2B // .957 FP
Finish later

I don't have to finish but I will anyways...
Griffey/Beltran vs Soriano/Crawford:
(all stats use 162 game average)
Griffey Jr.
174 H // 40 HR // 116 RBI // .290 BA // .553 SLG (13x AS, 1 MVP) 10 GG
Beltran
176 // 29 // 107 // .280 // .496
Soriano
187 // 36 // 93 // .282 // .517 SLG
Crawford
197 // 12 // 75 // .296 // .439
Beltran/Griffey's combined #'s are better than Soriano/Crawford's by a hair.
RP
Joba vs Valverde
I don't see how we can really argue this. Joba has only pitched 24 innings in the majors with 1 save. His ERA is low with a .38, but it's near impossible to have an ERA that low when you've pitched in a total of 253 games like Valverde has. If Joba still has an ERA below 2 by the end of next season I'll be really surprised. Valverde has 97 more saves in 4 more seasons, averaging 26 SVs per season.
Papa Grande's rookie season, he had 10 SVs with a 2.15 ERA. I've just realized he's a closer. I feel really stupid. Forgive me...
Papelbon vs Nathan:
(once again, 162 game avg)
Papelbon
35 SV // 14 ER // ERA 1.62
Nathan
25 SV // 29 ER // 4.00 ERA
ran outta room again. That's it i guess...
