It is almost impossible to see another team winning the championship after one team Just has!

Spurs for ex., they were the champs and had won more than 3 championships in the last 9 years. Right after they beat James, could you think of another team?

NY giants, They beat the best. If you beat the best and a team that cheats on top of that, you know your good. Could you see another team at that moment, that could win next season?

It is not impossible to see another team wining a championship. In fact, more different teams have won the championship then the same team winning a championship again. However, people see what they want to see.

The Spurs have won titles but in between their wins, the Heat, Lakers and Pistons all won the championship. The Spurs have another good team this year, but people can see the Lakers, Mavericks, Celtics, Pistons, Cavaliers and other teams all winning the championship. There are many more teams other than the Spurs that people can see wining the championship.

The Giants won the Super Bowl, but they lost Gibril Wilson and Kawika Mitchell. Sure, the Giants are a good team, but are they the only title contender right now? Many people can also see the Colts, Patriots, Chargers and Cowboys among others as legitimate title contenders. The list goes on and on, but there are far more teams that have a chance than just the Giants.

Look at baseball; the Red Sox won the World Series. They can win another one, but I guarantee that they are not the only team with a chance.

The NCAA tournament is wide open. Plenty of teams can win it, but it doesn't look great for Florida right now.


Maybe when the season starts, but not right after the championship is one. A fresh champion is hard to see past.
WE SEE THE TEAMS NOW, BUT THAT WAS BEFORE THE SPURS HAD JUST WON.
aFTER beating NFL's best, you know they have a great chance. Right after winning!

Every team has a chance, It IS JUST HARD TO SEE PAST A NEW CHAMPION IN THE MOMENT!!


Oh, that is what you are arguing.

I would say that after a team wins a championship, it is very possible to see a different team win a championship. After the Cavaliers lost, I would bet at least a few people might have thought "LeBron is still young, I could see them winning a championship". Or, if your favorite team is, say the Pistons, after the Spurs won, I would bet some Pistons fans said "We can do this next year, we have a good team".

Sports are so wide open that the fans of teams always think that their team has a chance to win. I am a Twins fan, and I can see them winning the World Series. I am a Vikings fan, I can see them winning the Super Bow. I would say that there are people who agree with me in this respect.


Maybe if your team has a good chance, but if your team got beat in the first round, what do you think?

I wish my teams would win too, BUT I AM IN REALITY(Eagles, Heat, Boston*exception)

It is not impossible, but almost.


If you got beat in the first round of last year's NBA playoffs, one of these could have happened:

"I can't believe we lost! But we have a good enough team to win next year"
-Dallas

"We won the title last year, why can't we do it again next year?"
-Miami

"We have AI and Carmelo, the future still looks good."
-Denver

I could go on, and on with these, but I will end with this:

"We didn't make it, but we have KG and he is a warrior. If we can get some decent guys, we have a chance, just like in 03".

Yes, it is possible. Not common, but possible.

My example comes from the NBA. The day after the Miami Heat won the championship, I clearly remember thinking "they're not going to repeat next year, no chance".
