Celtics lose, Pistons lose, who wins the East(play-offs, I'm guessing it means) TDahalics Tournament

If the Celtics and the Pistons lose, which I highly doubt, I am picking the Cavs to win the East.

Yes, yes, I know. Superman will make Magic and lead, well the Magic.

Well, I say no to that. The Magic has how many games have the Magic won in the play- offs since 2002- 2003?

That's an easy answer.

Zero.

How many have the Cavs?

Let's see here.

Nineteen.

So, they have play- off experience.

Now, players:

Magic have Dwight and Hedo.

Cavs have LeBron, Ben, Gibson, Z, Delonte, Varejo, and Wally.

So, they win in the player categorie.

Plus, the Cavs have gone on a hot streak ever since LeBron has come back, coming from out of play- off contention, to fourth.

They will win the East if the Celtics or Pistons don't.

Your turn.

Good luck!

I'm going to say that the Orlando Magic are the third best team in the Eastern Conference right now.

First off, to combat what you say, I'm going to say that if you're including Daniel Gibson, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Delonte West, Anderson Varejao and Wally Szczerbiak as players who are important, then for the Magic you must include Rashard Lewis, Carlos Arroyo, and Maurice Evans for the Magic, don't kid yourself, the Magic have better and more balanced role players than the Cavaliers do.

Maybe the Cavs are doing better because of the fact that Lebron's one of the top three players in the NBA. Anytime you have a team that's so dependent on its star, and he misses time, the team will suffer. However, does that mean that one player by himself can win a championship? Look at how many Kobe won after Shaq, look at how many Patrick Ewing won, look at how many Reggie Miller won. All of those players, while being the best, didn't have the TEAM to do it.

I ask you, is an overpaid past prime defensive post player, an undersized shooting guard, a center with foot problems, a green point guard, an energy player with no offensive skills, and a shooter with balky ankles going to do enough?

NO!

About your rebuttal.

First off, did you call Daniel Gibson a green point guard? What does that mean?

And, I guess you mean Delonte West has no offensive skills?

Okay, let's look at his offensive stats (With Cavs):

PPG: 9.6 PPG- That's average.

APG: 4.1- Good.

FG%: 44.7- That's pretty good.

FT%: 75.0- Average to mediocre.

3PT%: 36.7- Pretty good.

No offensive skills? Don't think so!

So, Ben Wallace, the past prime post defender, is still a pretty good post defender.

Let's look at his defensive post stats(With Cavs):

BPG- 1.3- Good for a guy who's 6'9 playing 7 footers!

SPG- 0.8- Good for a cemter

RPG- 8.0- Good, again, for a guy who's 6'9 going against 7 footers!

That's pretty good for a guy his size.

Who's the undersized shooting guard?

Z, the center with foot problems:

PPG- 13.5- Average

RPG- 9.6- pretty good, I I may say so myself!

BPG- 1.7- Again, pretty good!

TOPG- 1.8- That has to stand out to you.

Wally(With Cavs) Offensive Percentages-

3PT%- 36.1- That's good in my eyes.

FT%- 95.7- Amazing!

FG%- 32.7- Not very good.

I have no space left, and I do think that will get you somewhere.

Your turn.

I called Daniel Gibson the undersized shooting guard, Delonte West the green point guard, and Anderson Varejao the energy player with no offensive skills, I wrote that sentence in order.

Szczerbiak and Ilgauskas are walking injuries though. If you even look at their ankles and feet (respectively) the wrong way, they're liable to miss two weeks.

Dwight Howard is playing like the best post player in the league right now. How many players can average 21.8 points, 14.5 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks a game? There's nobody in the NBA that can do all three of those besides Howard himself.

Hedo Turkoglu is playing fantastically this year too. 19.6 points, 4.9 assists, 6.1 rebounds, and shooting 40% from three.

Can't forget about Rashard Lewis either. 18.5 points, 5 rebounds, more than a steal per game, and 40% from three.

You put all of that on the same team, and they challenge Boston and Detroit now, you can't say that about Cleveland at all.

(postscript: I am going out of town, I may not post a last argument if I can't find a computer)

Okay.

Does it even matter that Gison in undersized? Barkley was undersized. He was fine. A.I.'s undersized. He's fine.

And being a green point guard dosen't even make any sense!

Anderson Varejo's 7.7 points is enough points to get by on, but his 8.5 rpg more than makes up for it. And his 47.1 FG% is pretty good in my mind. Also, 1.2 TOPG is amazing. He's a solid role player, and that's all the Cavs need.

So how can you say that LeBron has no help?

And, plus, at this rate, the Cavs will pass the Magic up in the regular season race, which will give them home court advantage if the Celts and Pistons lose, which means that, if the Magic and Cavs meet in the Conference Finals, which is what we're assuming, then the Magic will most likely lose the 4 of 7 games they play at Cleveland. I say that because the Cavs have an amazing 21-10 record at home.

Now, I've stated my case in three arguments.

Happy voting(because Goblin can't make his next argument)

Green meaning inexperienced. E.G. when a piece of wood is freshly cut it is green inside, but over time, it loses that color.

Amazing is not 21-10. The Magic have a 22-12 road record, negating that, while the Magic home record is 20-12, and the Cadavers are 16-18 on the road. Cleveland has 17 games remaining and are 4.5 games back, so barring a Mets-like implosion by Orlando, there will be home court in theAmway Arena.

1.2 TO/ game isn't hard to do when you never get the ball. I average 0 turnovers a game for Cleveland, I've even got him beat there.

Did I mention that Dwight Howard's a pretty good player?...

(Sorry dwade, I got on my grandmother's computer, but I didn't think I'd be able)

Good luck!

I disagree completely, the Magic are much better than they were last year. Their is no reason to believe that Howard will not take another monster step up in the postseason. I think it is a complete tossup between the Cavs and Magic. The number 2 and 3 player on the Magic are better than the 2 and 3 on Cleveland. LeBron and D Ho are the two most dominate players at their respective positions.

Vote to hemo, other than the reggie miller part, his arguement was very strong. To many stats for dwade. Also what is with Big Ben getting a free pass for his size all of a sudden. You do realize he once averaged 15.4 boards and 3.5 blocks in a season. He is half the player he used to be and when you have no offensive game that is just not good enough.
