no specific rules. Just follow format

C: Russell Martin
1B: Albert Pujols
2B: Chase Utley
SS: Jimmy Rollins
3B: Alex Rodreguiz
LF: Matt Holiday
CF: Grady Sizemore
RF: Vlad Guerrero

SP: Johan Santana
SP: Jake Peevy
SP: Josh Becket

Bench:

I will list differences

SS- Hanley Ramirez- He hit for higher average and got on base at a higher clip. One of the most important stats for a hitter is OPS. Hanleys was .948 and Jimmy's was .875. All that being said Jimmy has Ryan Howard and Chase Utley protecting him in that lineup. Hanley also stole 51 to Jimmy's 41. Heading into this year you have to think, Hanley is the guy to have.

CF- Curtis Granderson- He had less at bats, more runs, hits, doubles, triples and a higher batting average. Their RBI and HR's are very close. As a base stealer Curtis was 26 for 27 and Grady was 33 for 43. I would take the effeciency of Curtis any day of the week.

RF- Magglio Ordonez- He hit .40 points higher than Vlad and also beat him in pretty much every category across the board. He was also the best fielding RF in the game and Vlad is not much of a defender anymore.

P- C.C. Sabathia- Josh is great but he is a walking DL(already hurt again). C.C. had just as good a year as Josh but gave his team a valuable 41 more IP. C.C. has pitched for 180+ all 7 years of his career, Josh 2 of 7. When 2 guys have the same numbers, I want the consistent one on my team.

You made some valid points there Nick. But I have some good points to, lets start with Jimmy and Hanley. Jimmy was the MVP last season for a reason. His 20+ in 3 catagorites. 41 steals is unheard of. 20+ HR for a SS? In the old days it wasn't even posible. No Dobut Hanley is the leader of this young Florida team, but thats just it. Young is the key word. He needs to grow into his form, hes a good player and no doubt he'll be great. But, id rather have a vetran leader who is in his prime over a young one who still needs a bit of improvement.

Granderson vs Sizemore. Once again, Curtis is a great player but Grady is better. First of all Grady has more power than Granderson which makes Grady's leadoff's very suprising. Second as you said above, Gradys % of stealing wasn't good, but he still had more than Curtis. Grady is also more efficient. As a leadoff hitter with close to 80 RBI's?

Magglio vs Vlad. No doubt Magglio has better numbers than Vlad did last year, but there is no denying Vlad is a better player than Mags is. Vlad had an off year last year and still played dominent. Maybe he team could of done better but he found some ground with his team at the end.
OUT OF ROOM.

OK, Hanley has 20+ HR for a SS, so Jimmy isn't alone. 41 steals unheard of, huh? then how bout 51 for Hanley. Young and already performing at Jimmy's level. I can't wait to see what he does if he has an improvement in him, which he does.

What makes Grady better? Your opinion. He only had one more homer than Curtis. But Curtis had 21 more extra base hits, that is more power to me. Comerica is very spacious and homers are tough to hit their. Jacobs, not so much. Grady stole 7 more bases but got caught 9 more times, why would you not rather have a guy who picks his spots better. Curtis only had 4 less RBI's than Grady as a leadoff but made up with runs scored. OPS is the best stat for tracking a hitter. Curtis .913 Grady .852.

Vlad is on the downside as the Angels have already asked him to DH. That being said last year Mag's hit .18 points higher than Vlads career high. He drove in 9 more than his career high as well. This isn't a career debate anyways. Right now Mag's is the best right fielder in the game offensively and defensively and the numbers back it up.

Sorry took so long, had to work.

Hanley can't catch the ball...worst fielding SS in baseball...the difference in offense is negated by the brick he holds in his left hand...

Ordonez had been great year in the last 3...Vlads has been great for a long time...

Vote left...

'Ordonez had been great year in the last 3...Vlads has been great for a long time... '

That should have read. Ordonez had one great year in the last 3

Peevy is pretty good......

And Ramireeeeeeeeeez

March 19, 2008  08:32 PM ET

Gotta Go with the Grady Love. Granderson is a one hit wonder whereas; grady has done it for 3 straight years. Grady is just better.

March 19, 2008  08:44 PM ET

Grady has done what for three years. Never hit.300, never drove in more than 81 and always strukeout 130+ times. He is overrated.

March 19, 2008  08:55 PM ET

Nah I won that TD as well he is not overrated? Ryan Howard strikes out a lot more is he overrated? No I didn't think so. Grady did score over 130 runs for a leadoff batter. In fact how many true leadoff batters do you know who bat in more than 74 runners a year or hits over 20 HRs a year. That's what I though so how is it that he is overrated. I would take him over Granderson anyday,
