Moreno probably would have been better than Mcfadden last year if he didn't have to share carries with Brown. Moreno has excellent speed and illusiveness, he also has shown the strength to run people over. Brown got more carries than Moreno but he still ran for more than 1,000 yards. Next year I expect him to get close to 2,000 yards. I don't think that Moreno can carry the team to a national title, seeing as UGa has one of the hardest schedules and they play in the toughest confrence, but I think we can expect great things from him and UGa.

The Heisman next year is all about Chris "Beanie" Wells from the Ohio State University.
You want to talk about running peolple over, I suggest you take a look at Wells running the ball. He also has a stiff like I have never seen. Beanie will put up a ton of yards and will score a bunch of TD's for the loaded Bucks.
GeorgiaFan1000 said 03/19, 03:58 PM
Knowshon has better speed and agility, weanie wells and OSU are known as the team that couldn't win the one game they needed to win, If you put Wells in the SEC he wouldn't be able to handle the speed and power, as was shown in the national championship, if you put Knowshon in any other confrence he couldn't be stopped.

You can't be talking about the same Chris Wells that ran away from the whole LSU defense are you? Wells ran for 146 yards,7.3 per carry against LSU so your little Wells could not handle the SEC comment is moronic.
And you can't be talking about the same OSU team that has been to the National Championship 2 years in a row and actually beat thier rival on a regular basis. (4 years in a row and 6 of last 7.)
Lets's take a look back at the 2007 season.
Moreno 1334 yards 5.4avg 14 TD's
Wells 1609 yards 5.8 avg 15TD's
Knowshon would be an average back in the Big-10. I look at Moreno's stats last year against Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma State and Georgia Tech as prime examples.
GeorgiaFan1000 said 03/19, 05:55 PM
Knowshon received only half the carries because Brown also got a lot of carries, Moreno still got close to 1400 yards and had one less touchdown than Wells. That also doesn't change the fact that OSU is 0-8 against the SEC in bowls, also two years ago when we played Florida we lost by 7 but when OSU played them in the national title the lost by 30 that is four touchdowns plus two. Wait till next year when Moreno gets the majority of the carries the try to compare stats.

Are we comparing OSU to Georgia or who will win the Heisman?
Chis Wells is a better running back than Moreno and it is not arguable. I am willing to bet that Moreno will not even be invited to the ceremony. Wells has a combination of size, speed and strenth that is unlike anyone else this coming year in NCAA football.

An SEC RB going for 2000 yards?
Well uh. . .okay, whatever you say.

Only thing that can hurt Wells is that Pryor is expected to throw on a OSU hat tomorrow. They will try to use him in the O which may take some plays away from Wells.
But even then Moreno isn't in my top 5.

Report Offensive CommentKnowshon and Uga is going all the way. They should have done it this past year but Tennessee ruined us in Knoxsville. OSU can win a title game to save their lives. UGA baby. Everybody said colt brennan and hawaii would beat uga. Georgia has GREAT, FAST defense. Knowshon all the way. I might even bet on it on bodog. ha for real though, think im playin if you want

Report Offensive CommentWell, Beanie does have an easier shot at gaining more rushing yards than Knowshon.
This is a tough one b/c I'd like Knowshone to win it, but there's just too many dam intangibles to winning the Heisman.

That alone should win your vote, our guy on the left is saying that Wells isn't good enough to play in the SEC????? You have GOT to be kidding me.

Report Offensive CommentI was checking out the stats, and both players look pretty even in certain areas. They both played against 6 teams that finished in the top 50 of rushing defense for the regular season. They both rushed for at least 100 yds. for only three of those D's.
Beanie had about 30 more attempts than Knowshon. Knowshon's next leading rusher, Brown, had 779 yds. w/ 10 TD's, and Beanie's next leading rusher, Maurice Wells, had 367 yds. w/ 3 TD. So Knowshon didn't get as many opportunities to do as well as Beanie.
Beanie was also pretty quiet after that 65 yd TD run in the title game. He was hot to start but cold to finish.
What is the Heisman all about anyways? We all know they say it should be "The Most Outstanding Player in NCAA Football." But is it? No. It's a popularity contest. Knowshon will be more popular b/c he's allied with a SEC team, and pollsters will be even more reluctant to give anything to OSU after losing twice in a row by a pretty significant margin both years. Knowshon wins the popularity vote.

Report Offensive CommentDon't let this comment detract from my previous one, but IF Tressel decides to use Pryor in a Tebow manner, i.e. run it, run it, run it, and then throw a surprise goal line pass, then that would take away from Beanie's stats also.

Report Offensive CommentI keep seeing Pat White and Noel Devine combinations. They are in the same backfield and will take away from each other's stats, especially since Pat White would have to win it on his rushing stats too. Pat White has a new coach and doesn't have his star receiver anymore.
