Tim Duncan is a better PF. Then Kevin Garnett! Tim is only playing 34.8 min per ball game he is shooting 50% field goals 72% free throws getting 11.4 rebounds 3.1 assists 2 blocks 19.6 points per game. KG is my favorite player of all time but he just isn???t as good as Tim he 18.8 points per game and only 9.4 rebounds. KG is one of the greatest PF of all time but he has yet to win a ring which is my main point Tim has won 5 rings with different players around him each time. Tim has always been one of the best players in the N.B.A. and that has made players want to play with him.

Ok, I'm not sure if you're talking about all-time or this year, but your wrong either way. Look, I don't even think we can tell who is better. Duncan has 5 rings, so what? You see the help KG has gotten over the years, or the lack thereof? Duncan has had Robinson, Ginobli, and Parker, not to mention one of the best benches in the NBA. KG has had Mabury in his in his early years but when he got to the playoffs, they had to face Hakeem Olajuwon and the Rockets and got swept. Numbers this year mean nothing to me, and shouldn't mean anything to anyone else this year either. You should know if you're gonna have Ray Allen and Paul Pierce on you're team, you're not going to need to score 20 points every night. So tell me, are you arguing all time or this year?

Forfeited Turn

Okay, since I still don't know which way I'm arguing, I guess I'll continue anyway. Ok, you can't base whose better based on this years stats, cause KG is on a team where, again, he doesn't need to get 20 points and 12 rebounds a game. One reason is because of the players around him like Rondo, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and guys like James Posey and Eddie House to knock down big shots. Well I know, the Spurs also have players like these, maybe even better. But, the Spurs play in the West and need Tim Duncan to produce big numbers almost every night in order to win the game. Since the Celtics play in the East, they don't need to rely on KG every night.

Forfeited Turn

Ok, if your not gonna back up anything, I guess I'll end it by saying that both of these guys are great and will end up in the HOF. You can't base a career on championships if you're stuck with a crappy. That's why KG wanted to be traded. Now I can see the Celtics winning the championship, if they do, so what? I don't think that upgrades KG's talent. If Duncan doesn't get another championship or wins all of them for the rest of his career, doesn't upgrade his talent. Does it increase his status? Yea, Most definitely. But status and talent are two different things. Championships are about the team, not one player. That's why LeBron doesn't have a championship yet.

Sorry I think that Duncan is still better.

Both are quality. Duncan is fundamentally sound. In fact he's probably fundamentally superior to most, if not all, of his PF counterparts. But his overall game does not translate the way KG's does. Over their careers KG has proven to be the better ball handler and distributor while putting up comparable scoring and blocking numbers. I'll even take it there: If you switched the two of them, wouldn't the Duncan led Spurs STILL have 4 rings? Might they have 1 more? However, is Duncan winning 4 titles withTerrell Brandon, Joe Smith and Wally Szerbiak as his main support?

TIM DUNCAN IS THE MAN. WOULD LOVE TO SEE HIM PLAYING WITH DALLAS THOUGH. HE HAS 5 RINGS HE NEEDS A CHALLENGE TO REALLY KNOW WHAT HE CAN DO WITHOUT ALL THE TALENT SURROUNDING HIM. EITHER WAY I WOULD TAKE DUNCAN OVER GARRNET.

The guy had one argument. How did he get 11 votes? Vote to the right.

March 23, 2008  01:13 PM ET

Man this guy is ridiculous, he took a throwdown with me and only made one argument and is also still winning there too. Give the guy who put some time into his arguments my vote goes to the right.

March 23, 2008  01:23 PM ET

It's tied now. If you make only one argument you should get any votes. That's why you are suppose to wait till all is done. Also it's not about who you think is a better PG, it's who gives the best argument. Vote---------------->

1 argument and these people are still voting for him? That's messed up.
