I have to go with the Heat and D-Wade because he was their best player by far, and without him and Shawn Marion having a small injury, the Heat are nothing

Depending on how bad the injury to Dirk is this could take the chances of the Mavericks getting into the playoffs, or if getting into how far they will be able to get. The Heat are already out of it. Right now the D-Wade injury doesn't really make them much worse, welll it makes them worse but it isn't as big of a deal. Don't make him play if he is injured. They are already out of it. if the Mavs don't get Dirk back and they don't make the playoffs it will make their season TERRIBLE!!!! To get this far and then lose it. The West is too tight to lose such a great player and the worsed time to have a player go out when it's close is near the end in the playoff race. This is going to hit the Mavs hard and could be to their playoff chances.

At the end i this is going to hit the Mavs hard and could be fatal, but i guess i can't write that word.... so it is going to hit them hard, its not a bad word though.l..... hmmm.

They didnt even play a game without Dirk yet!!!!!!!!!!

Are u ppl forgetting that the Rockets wur able to comeback without Yao.

Why cant the Mavs do that without Dirk?

It doesnt seem realistic for a team to go from a #1 seed to not making the playoffs.

Dallas will do better without Dirk. Look for them to score less (obviously) BUT with a true 5 man in there they will gain another rebounder and a defensive threat. With Dirk, the Mavs were basically playing man down on defense. Im not even kidding. Some of the stuff he does is just elementary level.

Dallas can survive without Dirk, just like Houston survived without Yao.

How about the Clippers and Elton Brand? Or the Wizards and Gilbert Arenas.

Unless stars like J-Kidd can step up and Josh Howard, they won't be able to do as well as before.
