well, you have a pretty good list, so i have on difference:

PF - Tim Duncan - Karl "Mailman" Malone

GOOD LUCK!

Well, actually, ill have to trade Wilt Chamberlain for Lew Alcindor,or Kareem Abdul Jabbar because of this
time most allstar selection(19)
most allstar games played(18)
rookie of the year
6x NBA champion
6x MVP
2x finals MVP
Sports illustrated sportsman of the year(1985)

So your going to change your pick after your first argument? Whatever, Ill compare both then

In your title, you said FANTASY team, so all of those All Star selections and championships mean nothing at all.

Karl Malone vs. Tim Duncan - Since this is a FANTASY comparison, stats should be the thing being used for this, so here it goes. (All stats are career and per game)

Karl "Mailman" Malone:

Points: 25.0
Rebounds: 10.1
Assists: 3.6
Field Goal %: .516
Free Throw %: .742
3 Point %: .274
Blocks: 0.8
Steals: 1.4

Tim Duncan:

Points: 21.7
Rebounds: 11.9
Assists: 3.2
Field Goal %: .508
Free Throw%: .684
3 Point %: .192
Blocks: 2.4
Steals: 0.8

All of these stats are generic in most fantasy leagues, and as you can see Malone wins every single category except for rebounds and blocks. Now, If I had to pick the best team for a season possible, I would take Duncan over Malone anytime, but since this is for a fantasy team, statistics are the main thing to look at, and if you look at them, you can clearly see that Malone is more valuable to a fantasy then Duncan

* Kareem Abdul-Jabber vs. Wilt Chamberlain next argument

Forfeited Turn

Kareem Abdul-Jabber vs. Wilt Chamberlain - Well, I should technically not be making this comparison, but you changed your pick in your second argument, so here it goes. Again, since this is fantasy, I'll go to the stats to help me out here. (All stats are career and per game)

Wilt Chamberlain:

Points: 30.1
Rebounds: 22.9
Assists: 4.4
Field Goal %: .540
3 Point %: N/A
Free Throw %: .511
Blocks: N/A
Steals: N/A

Kareem Abdul-Jabber:

Points: 24.6
Rebounds: 11.2
Assists: 3.6
Field Goal %: .559
Free Throw %: .721
3 Point %: .056
Blocks: 2.6
Steals: 0.9

(* blocks, steals and three point % were not calculated in Wilt's days)

So, Wilt wins this 3-2. This also includes the best rebound-per-game total (22.9), and second best point-per-game total (30.1), only .002 behind the all-time leader, Michael Jordan (30.12). Also, although he lost the Field Goal % category, he does have the two top field goal percentages in season of All-Time, so he did have the capability to put up a huge number in the category for a fantasy season

March 28, 2008  08:56 AM ET

Wow i must say Sir Penderazdoun that you need to work on your arguments a bit longer

March 28, 2008  09:47 AM ET

The reason I would trade Chamberlain for Abdul-Jabbar are:

1. Abdul-Jabbar can score away from the basket there by clearing the lane of the opposing center for his teammates to cut to the basket. How many times did we see Abdul-Jabbar set up 17-20 feet away where he is more than capable of hitting the skyhook and then hit Worthy or Magic cutting to the undefended basket.

2. You can't play hack-a shaq with Abdul-Jabbar. He shot 73% from the line life time where as Chamberlain shot a Shaq-like 51%

you use your second argument to switch your original list? hahaha
